Frank Doso explains the root cause of Nyanza’s entertainment struggles
Lydia Wanjiru’s ex-partner, Frank Doso, has said that Nyanza faces challenges because many people want to be in charge at the same time.
In an interview with Oga Obinna on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, he explained that this attitude prevents the community from moving forward together.
“Most of the time, tribe yetu sisi watu wanataka wewe ndio uitwe bossy pekee. Nyinyi wote make chini mtulie,” he said, describing how competition for leadership affects progress.
“Nikisema hahh hiyo ndio inafanyika. Nikikuja mnasimama ndio nikae.“

He said the issue also prevents people from operating at the same level.
“Hakuna mtu anataka akue level moja na mwingine. Nikisema hahh hiyo ndio inafanyika. Nikikuja mnasimama ndio nikae,” Doso explained. He explained that resolving this problem is important for unity and growth.
Solutions for the entertainment scene
Doso suggested that the Kisumu entertainment scene could benefit from cooperation. He said the solution is for people to sit down, talk, and agree on leadership so that they can move forward.
“A solution to the Kisumu entertainment scene? The solution is for us to come together, sit down, talk, and move forward,” he said.

He noted that the main problem is that everyone wants to lead at the same time.
“Shida, ni, everyone wants to be a leader. It is either we choose one captain,” he added.
He warned that failing to work together could lead to other regions overtaking them.
“Tufikie Nairobi. Hata sai Mombasa inatupita,” he said, pointing out that without unity, progress will be slow.
Doso’s comments suggest that collaboration and shared leadership are key to solving challenges in Nyanza, especially in the entertainment scene. His message sheds light on the need for dialogue and compromise.
He believes that when people in the community agree to work together rather than compete, development and opportunities can improve. He urged people to stop focusing only on being the boss and to think about collective progress.
“Na tukiweza kuzitatua, then we will move forward vizuri,” Doso said, stressing that addressing leadership struggles could help the region advance.
