Finally top notch: Millie Odhiambo crowns Prince Indah after ‘Nyasuba’ hit

Suba North Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo has sparked excitement among fans of Ohangla music after publicly declaring that celebrated artist Evans Ochieng Owino, popularly known as Prince Indah, has finally attained “Top Notch” status, thanks to his latest song, Nyasuba.

In a light-hearted but pointed statement shared on her official Facebook account on Sunday, November 23, 2025, the lawmaker said she had always admired Prince Indah’s musical talent but felt there was “something missing” for her to classify him among the elite.

“I have always admired Prince Indah, but there has just been something missing for me to classify him as Top Notch. I have discovered it is because he had not dedicated a song to Nyasuba,” the MP said.

In her statement that has since attracted over 1,500 comments with over 13,000 likes, Odhiambo noted that the hitmaker’s decision to honour Suba women in his new track fills an important cultural gap.

“He is now officially Top Notch with Nyasuba. You cannot claim to be a serious musician without acknowledging us Suba beauties,” she added.
