DJ Afro reveals exact date for his movie commentary comeback

Popular entertainer DJ Afro Amingos has revealed that only three weeks remain before he makes his much-anticipated return to movie commentary, an art he has practised for years and one that propelled him into becoming a household name in Kenya’s entertainment industry.

In a post shared on Facebook on Thursday, April 9, 2026, DJ Afro noted that the countdown had already begun, with two days already gone, leaving approximately two weeks and five days before his comeback.

He disclosed that he will be working on both new movies and series, promising a significant upgrade in quality compared to his previous productions. He confidently assured his audience that the upcoming content would be sharper, more engaging, and more entertaining than ever.

“Tulisema in 3 weeks – New Movies and Series, Better Quality na Nganga Duma na wenzake wafanye comeback bila filters,” he wrote, emphasising both the timeline and the improved experience his viewers should expect.

Additionally, DJ Afro invited his fans to remind him if he might have overlooked anything important ahead of the relaunch.

He also encouraged them to suggest classic films they would love to revisit, this time accompanied by his signature commentary style.

“Nini tumesahau as we finalise this launch? Movie gani ya kitambo mnataka kuwatch tena?” he posed, actively engaging his audience in the preparation process.

He went on to ask fans to begin naming the latest movies and series they would like him to prioritise once he resumes, prompting a flood of enthusiastic suggestions in the comment section.

“Confirm, pia, the new Movies / Series you are waiting for ziko kwa line up… Aaaaaalllllrrrriiiiggghhhtttttttah. Very soon tutakuwa tukichukua positions daily!!! Only 2 weeks to go,” he added, building further anticipation as the countdown continues.

He revealed that during the session, he intends to finally share the origin of the name “Mutina,” a topic that has long sparked curiosity among his followers.

“Alright… so guys, tonight I will go live to interact with my fans at 8pm as I thank all of you,” he wrote.

The celebrated commentator hinted that the session would offer a more profound insight into his personal and professional journey, allowing fans to understand better how he built his brand and rose to prominence in the entertainment space.

He also invited his audience to interact with him during the live session, encouraging those familiar with the origin of the name to share their thoughts ahead of the reveal.
