DJ Afro overjoyed after action movie icon Cynthia Rothrock messages him

Movie commentator DJ Afro Amigos has expressed excitement after receiving a personal message from legendary Hollywood action star Cynthia Rothrock,
Sharing the news on his Facebook page on Thursday, July 30, 2026, DJ Afro described the moment as a dream come true, saying he was looking forward to meeting the actress in the future.
“Hello, hello my fans from all over the world. BREAKING NEWS! The greatest female movie actress, Cynthia Rothrock, has appreciated my good work, and I am looking forward to meeting her sooner or later,” he wrote.

DJ Afro also shared screenshots of the private conversation, showing Rothrock thanking him for introducing her films to more audiences across the African continent.
“Hi, thanks for introducing me to more people in Africa. Hope to meet someday,” the Hollywood actress wrote.
The message thrilled many of DJ Afro’s followers, with several saying they were proud to see his work being recognised by one of the world’s best-known action stars.
Others encouraged him to continue producing his movie commentaries, saying they had grown up watching films narrated in his distinctive style.

His blend of English, Swahili and Vernacular commentary, coupled with humour and local expressions, has made him one of East Africa’s most recognisable movie commentators.
Over the years, his commentary has introduced many viewers to classic Hollywood action films, earning him a devoted fan base on television and social media.
Cynthia Rothrock is regarded as one of Hollywood’s pioneering female martial arts stars. Before making her name in film, she won five consecutive World Karate Championships in forms and weapons between 1981 and 1985, establishing herself as one of the world’s leading martial artists.
She rose to international fame in the 1980s and 1990s through films including China O’Brien, Lady Dragon, No Retreat, No Surrender 2 and Rage and Honour, becoming one of the first Western actresses to headline Hong Kong martial arts films.
