Diana, Bahati elated as daughter joins school

Musician Bahati and his rapper wife, Diana Marua, were overwhelmed with joy as their daughter, Malaika Bahati, joined school.

Through a post on his Instagram account, Bahati could not withhold his excitement as he marked this milestone in his life as a father.

Accompanying a video that summarised his daughter’s admission, the Mama hitmaker penned a hearty message asking God to grant his daughter grace and favour as she starts schooling.

Bahati reminisced about holding her as a newborn and how far she has come to join school at this point.

“Tears of Joy… My last-born daughter, Malaika_Bahati, has officially started schooling. I held you in my arms just the other day, little angel, and just like that, you are now joining KG1… Look at what God has done! May His favour, grace and goodness walk with you in this journey. “May you always be the head in Jesus’ name 🙏. All the best,” he posted.

Her mother, Diana, on the other hand, is heard speaking in the video, saying in Swahili, “Mi hata siamini, but we are here.” Losing translates to “I don’t even believe it, but here we are”.

Bahati’s Family

Beyond their youngest daughter’s milestone, Bahati and Diana Marua have built a large, blended family that remains a central pillar of their public lives. Together, the couple shares three biological children: Heaven, Majesty, and the newest student, Malaika.

Their household is often celebrated for its inclusivity, as it also includes Morgan Bahati, whom the singer adopted from a children’s home years ago, and Mueni Bahati, the musician’s daughter from a previous relationship. This diverse family dynamic has become a hallmark of their brand, frequently showcased through their reality series and social media platforms.

The couple’s approach to parenting often focuses on providing the opportunities they didn’t have growing up. Bahati, who rose from a humble background in Mathare, and Diana frequently express their commitment to ensuring their children receive a top-tier education and a nurturing environment.

Their children are not just part of their private lives but are public figures in their own right, with dedicated social media followings where fans track their growth, birthdays, and academic achievements like Malaika’s first day of school.
