Sol Generation Publishing has signed dancer and musician ColloBlue, adding another rising act to the label founded by Sauti Sol.

In an Instagram post shared on Thursday, April 9, 2026, the label described ColloBlue as a multi-talented choreographer, singer, and performer making waves in the Kenyan music scene.

The announcement struck a confident tone, with the group stating that “the wave is just getting started,” signalling belief in his potential to break through.

“Welcome to the family @colloblue_udc,” the label wrote. “He is a multi-talented choreographer, singer and performer making serious waves in the Kenyan music scene.”

They pointed to his breakout track Up Burukanga featuring Addeh Prince, as well as Wakiuliza featuring Fathermoh, noting that the artist is bringing “a fresh sound and unstoppable energy.”

ColloBlue first gained attention through his dance. His profile shot up after Up Burukanga sparked a viral challenge, with TikTok and Instagram users recreating the high-energy, hands-in-the-air moves.

The trend pulled in millions of views, becoming one of the standout Kenyan online moments of early 2026.

Beyond dance, he has been building a music catalogue and working with established names. His collaboration with Fathermoh for Wakiuliza further cemented his crossover from dancer to recording artist.

Groovy Jo signing

In addition to ColloBlue, the label has also announced the signing of rising star Groovy Jo. In a separate post on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Sol Generation described her as “unapologetic, fearless, and unmistakably Groovy,” highlighting her growing influence in Kenya’s music space.
