Teacher Cillah reveals how she keeps learners on their toes days after George Ruto meetup

Popular educator Teacher Cillah has offered fans a glimpse into the rather meticulous way she checks whether her learners have completed assignments even as she settles back into her ordinary teaching routine days after attracting widespread attention for hosting George Ruto.
In a video shared on her TikTok page on Thursday, September 3, 2026, Cillah is seen seated behind the teacher’s desk at the front of her classroom, where she puts her pupils on the spot by asking them to come clean on whether they had completed the assignment.
She then instructed the learners to place their books on the tables for inspection, making it clear that those who had not completed the assignment would have to make their way to the front of the classroom.
“Did you do my take-home? All of you. Let you all place your assignments on the table; I check. I am coming to check, and if you do not have it, come here at the front. If you have completed it, please place it at the table here; I check,” she said.
While sharing the video, Cillah reflected on the familiar classroom moments that come with her line of duty, noting that some pupils who have failed to complete their assignments can spend an entire lesson pretending to search for the book in which they supposedly did the work.
“Some spend the whole lesson looking for the books,” she wrote.
Westlands meetup
George Ruto visited Westlands Primary School, where Teacher Cillah works, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, bringing weeks of playful social media exchanges between the two to an unexpected face-to-face encounter at the school.
The highly anticipated meeting came after Cillah had attracted widespread attention online by jokingly expressing interest in marrying George, with the playful exchange eventually growing into a viral social media saga.
Cillah had earlier taken the joke further by sharing posts and AI-generated images imagining herself and George as a couple, while George also joined the banter by asking her for her Teachers Service Commission registration number.
During the visit, the President’s son also pledged to support the school with football equipment and learning materials, giving the viral encounter a more meaningful dimension beyond the playful exchanges that had initially thrust the pair into the spotlight.
Cillah subsequently shared moments from the memorable day with her followers, with videos showing her walking and dancing alongside George as pupils cheered around them, further fuelling the attention surrounding the encounter.
