Crowd goes crazy as Teacher Cillah and George Ruto share dance during first physical meetup

Crowds of excited students could not contain themselves and kept erupting into cheers after popular educationist Teacher Cillah and First Son George Ruto made a surprise appearance at Westlands Primary School, where the two also showed off some sleek dance moves during a lively entertainment session.

This happened on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 25, 2026, after George honoured his earlier vow to work and support the popular educationist, who had been trending over her flirty and openly expressed advances towards him.

In a video shared by Pacestetter on Instagram, the two are seen arriving at the school amid pomp and colour, with two of George’s popular city nganyas, Mood and Moneyfest, putting on a series of stunts as they made their way into the school playground.

The arrival immediately sent waves of excitement across the school grounds, with students scampering across the field while others kept cheering as Teacher Cillah and George made their way to the podium, dancing and appearing to be in exceptionally high spirits.

After brief speeches, the MC of the event then took over the entertainment session and, in an attempt to draw the two into the excitement, invited George and Cillah to the front, where they would join the students in attempting the dance moves he was demonstrating.

The two did not hold back as they pulled out their best moves, prompting the students to erupt into even louder cheers as the colourful afternoon continued in pomp and celebration, with the learners also being given an opportunity to step forward and showcase their own talents.

Later on, George, who was clad in a suit, is seen mingling with the learners and taking selfies with them, as the excited cheers continued to reverberate across the school grounds and left smiles on the faces of those in attendance.

A beautiful day

The pop-up event, which was also attended by Mood Nganya driver Lenny, had started on a quieter but equally memorable note, with George first making his way into the classroom where Teacher Cillah teaches before taking time to speak to the learners and interact with them.

In videos shared online, he is seen moving from one desk to another and engaging individual learners in conversation as Teacher Cillah followed closely, taking him around the classroom and giving him a glimpse into what a typical school day looks like for her pupils.

The learners, who were dressed in green and red tracksuits, are heard responding enthusiastically to some of the questions George was asking, with the classroom occasionally breaking into applause whenever he addressed them.

The classroom interaction later culminated in the entertainment afternoon, where hired DJs spent the rest of the day playing some of Kenya’s latest tunes for the elated learners.

The arrival of the city nganyas, Mood and Moneyfest, added another layer of excitement to the afternoon, with their presence leaving even more learners jumping, dancing and cheering as the entertainment session continued.
