Shakib accepts Arrow Bwoy’s rematch challenge after Vurugu 2 win
Ugandan boxer and socialite Shakib Cham has accepted Arrow Bwoy’s challenge for a rematch following their Vurugu 2 celebrity boxing showdown, saying he has no problem taking the fight to Kampala if promoters make it happen.
Speaking in a video shared on Monday, June 29, 2026, Shakib said he was ready to face Arrow Bwoy again in Uganda and urged promoters and government officials to help organise the bout.
Shakib also took a jab at Arrow Bwoy, advising the singer to train harder before stepping into the ring for a rematch.
“To you, Arrow Bwoy, you said you want to come fight me in Kampala. I have no problem. All I will advise you is to train more,” he said.
Appreciates promoters
Shakib also thanked Vurugu promoter Oga Obinna and businessman Abbas for rewarding him with a Ksh1.5 million bonus, describing it as a gesture that meant more than the money itself.
Shakib said the Ksh1.5 million bonus came on top of what had been agreed in his contract and thanked the organisers for recognising his hard work.

“I just want to thank my promoter, Oga Obinna, and my boss Abbas for honouring the promise they made after my fight against Arrow Bwoy. The Ksh1.5 million was just a bonus beyond our contract. The gesture means a lot more than the money. It’s a sign that they value our hard work and dedication,” he said.
Calls out Majembe and Mbavu the Destroyer
Shakib said many people had challenged him after Vurugu 2, including Majembe and Mbavu the Destroyer, but insisted he was prepared for any opponent.
“So many Kenyans are calling me out. They want to fight with me, but all I want to tell you guys is I’m ready. I was born for this and I’m ready for all the fights,” he said.

Accepting Majembe’s challenge, Shakib proposed a winner-takes-all contest involving both of their championship belts.
“Majembe, you said you want to bring your Vurugu 1 belt. I’ll bring my belt from Uganda, then the winner takes them all. So I’m ready for that.”
He also aimed a verbal jab at Mbavu the Destroyer, saying he was unsure the content creator could fight.
“Mbavu, I don’t think you can fight. But I’m ready for all these fights,” he said.
