Natalie Githinji breaks silence after endometriosis event at KICC

Media personality and endometriosis awareness advocate Natalie Githinji has thanked attendees, artists, celebrities, sponsors and fellow Endo Warriors who supported her campaign at KICC.

Natalie hosted the Endometriosis Awareness Campaign at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Sunday, September 27, 2026, bringing together celebrities, artists, fans and people living with endometriosis.

The event attracted attention after nominated Senator Karen Nyamu was booed by some attendees, with chants directed at her during the gathering.

Days after the event, Natalie has broken her silence, thanking everyone who contributed to the campaign and describing it as more than just an event.

In a message shared after the event, Githinji thanked everyone who attended, donated, shared content or supported the cause.

“To every single person who showed up, shared a post, made a video, attended the event, donated, encouraged me, or simply believed in this cause thank you. “You helped make the Endometriosis Awareness Campaign more than an event; you made it a movement,” she said on Tuesday, September 29,2026.

She also recognised the artists, celebrities, friends and fellow Endo Warriors who attended the event and helped create awareness about the condition.

“To all the incredible artists, celebrities, friends, and fellow Endo Warriors who came out and stood with me, thank you for using your voices and platforms to create awareness. Your support means more to me than words can ever express,” Natalie added.

The media personality also expressed gratitude to her fans for their continued support.

“And to my amazing fans thank you for always showing up. Your love, energy and belief in what I do keeps me going,” she said.

Natalie reiterated her call for greater awareness and understanding of endometriosis, saying those living with the condition deserve to be heard and taken seriously.

“Endometriosis deserves to be heard, understood and taken seriously. And together, we made people listen,” she said.

Additionally, she also thanked the sponsors and partners who helped make the campaign possible.

“To my incredible sponsors and partners, thank you for believing in the vision and investing in a cause that is so close to my heart. Your support made so much of this possible, and I am truly grateful,” she said.

“From the bottom of my heart, Asante sana. We did this together.”

Karen Nyamu booed at event

The event’s biggest talking point came when Karen Nyamu faced a hostile reception from some attendees.

The senator was booed and faced chants as she attended the awareness event, prompting comedian Eric Omondi to question her presence at the gathering.

Speaking during the event, Dr Ofweneke also turned his attention to lawmakers and questioned the pace at which they have addressed endometriosis through legislation, while referencing the death of endometriosis campaigner Njambi Koikai.

Despite the tense moment, Natalie’s post focused on appreciating those who supported the wider cause.
