Msinihande: Millicent Omanga reacts after viral dress video sparks reactions

Aspiring Nairobi Woman Representative Millicent Omanga has reacted after videos of her wearing a figure-hugging green dress with a daring slit went viral online, sparking mixed reactions among social media users.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, Omanga humorously blamed the wind for the unexpected wardrobe moments that left parts of her legs exposed as she addressed a political gathering.
She also jokingly called out those who had been discussing the outfit and reading different meanings into the moments captured on camera, asking them to spare her from their scrutiny.
“Hata upepo jameni. Msinihande wadosi wangu,” she wrote, adding a smiling emoji.
Viral clip
The viral clip that has since become a talking point online features the curvaceous politician addressing a rally from a podium while dressed in an elegant green dress adorned with black dotted patterns.
The fitted outfit featured a high slit running up one side, giving it a dramatic finish as Omanga moved around the podium while delivering her address.
In the video, Omanga holds the microphone firmly as she speaks in support of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, before strong gusts of wind begin catching the loose section of the dress around the slit.
Each time she turns or shifts from one side of the podium to the other, the fabric appears to billow in the wind, causing the slit to open and expose portions of her legs.
At one point, the wind lifts the dress considerably, prompting Omanga to reach down and hold the fabric in place as she continues addressing the crowd.
Despite the repeated wardrobe interruptions, the politician appears unfazed and carries on with her speech, occasionally adjusting the dress to keep it in place.
Team Gachagua
The speech Omanga was delivering centred on President William Ruto and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, with the politician sharply criticising the Head of State while heaping praise on the former Deputy President.
Omanga warned Ruto to be prepared for Gachagua, saying the former Deputy President would make good on his promise to remove him from office in the 2027 General Election.
“Team leader wetu, wacha Kasongo ajue Rigathi Gachagua ndiye anamjua vizuri. Na atakupeleka nyumbani,” she said.
Omanga also spoke about the several leaders within the opposition, saying the political camp had a number of individuals capable of taking up the country’s leadership.
However, she made it clear that she and her political allies had settled on Gachagua, whom she described as their team leader.
“Na wale opposition leaders wote wakikaa, sisi tunapeana kwa Gitungati wetu Rigathi Gachagua. Miaka mitano mbele, Kasongo nyuma. Harambee,” she said.
