Content creator and entrepreneur Moureen Ngigi has shared a heartfelt message about the emotional reality of building a business, admitting that there are moments when the pressure becomes overwhelming.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Saturday, July 18, 2026, Moureen reflected on the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, noting that while running a business brings rewarding moments, it also brings emotional challenges that many people rarely talk about.

‘Sometimes I cry’

According to Moureen, owning a business is not always as easy as it appears on social media. She explained that there are days when the responsibilities become heavy, leaving her feeling emotionally drained.

However, she said those difficult moments have never made her think about giving up. Instead, she allows herself to process her emotions before finding the strength to continue. “This is the reality of having your own business. Sometimes I cry. Not because I’ve given up, but because I’m overwhelmed,” Moureen wrote.

She explained that crying has become a healthy way of releasing the pressure that comes with chasing her dreams. “I let myself feel it, wipe my tears, and then I get back to work. Crying isn’t the end of my story; it’s just how I release the weight before I keep going,” she added.

Speaking honestly about entrepreneurship

Moureen’s message resonated with many entrepreneurs who understand that behind every growing business are moments of uncertainty, sacrifice and emotional strain.

While many business owners often celebrate milestones and achievements online, Moureen chose to share the less glamorous side of the journey, reminding her followers that feeling overwhelmed does not mean someone has failed.

Her remarks also highlighted the importance of acknowledging emotions instead of pretending everything is always perfect.

A message of resilience

Despite admitting that she sometimes struggles emotionally, Moureen’s message carried a hopeful tone.

She made it clear that difficult days are only part of the journey and should not define the outcome. Instead of allowing temporary setbacks to stop her, she chooses to regain her strength and continue working towards her goals.

For many aspiring entrepreneurs, Moureen’s reflection serves as a reminder that success often comes with unseen challenges. Although there may be days filled with frustration, exhaustion and self-doubt, choosing to keep moving forward remains an important part of building something meaningful.

Her message encourages those facing similar struggles to understand that showing emotion does not make someone weak. Instead, taking a moment to acknowledge the pressure, recover and continue working can be just as important as celebrating the victories that come along the way.
