Fally Ipupa lands in Kenya ahead of anticipated concert

Congolese music superstar Fally Ipupa has landed in Nairobi ahead of his highly anticipated concert scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Uhuru Gardens.
Speaking to the media at the airport shortly after his arrival on Thursday, September 3, 2026, Fally expressed excitement about returning to Kenya and promised fans an unforgettable performance.
“Nothing but the beautiful, beautiful, best show ever. Twenty twenty twenty twenty-six,” Fally said.
Fally said he was happy to be back in Kenya, recalling his previous visit and expressing his love for the country.
“Yes, I’m very happy to be here. I was here a long time ago, but I like Nyama Toma. I love Kenya a lot, and I love it. So I’m very, very excited. I can’t wait to be on stage,” Fally said.
He also welcomed the prospect of enjoying nyama choma during his stay.
Fally promises fans a big show
The Congolese star said he wants his Kenyan fans to sing, dance and fully immerse themselves in the performance.
“I wanna make a dance and people wanna see, see the people sing. Go crazy. All with me. With us. We’re here for this. So I can’t wait. I’m ready to do this big show,” Fally said.
Fally also appeared open to the possibility of collaborating with Kenyan artistes during his visit.
The singer urged Kenyan fans to secure the remaining tickets and attend the September 5 concert.
“Yes, Kenya. We are here. So go get your last ticket. You can see the best show in 2026,” Fally said.
The Congolese superstar has built a strong following in Kenya over the years, with his blend of rumba, soukous, R&B, pop and Afrobeats making him a favourite among music lovers across East Africa.
Some of his popular songs include Eloko Oyo, Original, Likolo, Canne à Sucre, Amore, A Flyé, Bad Boy, Sweet Life, Mayanga, Bloqué and Science Fiction.
Before launching his solo career in 2006 with the album Droit Chemin, Fally spent several years as one of the lead vocalists of Koffi Olomide’s Quartier Latin International.
He later established himself as one of Africa’s leading solo artistes, performing across Africa, Europe and North America.
