Fally Ipupa confirms Kenyan show in September 2026

Congolese music superstar Fally Ipupa has officially confirmed that he will return to Kenya for a major concert in September 2026, exciting thousands of fans who have been waiting to see him perform again.
The singer made the announcement through his official social media pages, sharing a “Save the Date” poster confirming that he will perform in Nairobi on September 5, 2026.
The poster reveals that the concert will take place under the banner “Fally Ipupa Live in Nairobi”.
A favourite among Kenyan fans
Fally Ipupa has built one of the biggest fan bases in East Africa over the past two decades. His blend of Congolese rumba, soukous, R&B, pop and Afrobeats has made him a household name beyond the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Some of his biggest songs include Eloko Oyo, Original, Likolo, Canne à Sucre, Amore, A Flyé, Bad Boy, Sweet Life, Mayanga, Bloqué and Science Fiction, among many others.
Before launching his solo career in 2006 with the album Droit Chemin, Fally spent several years as one of the lead vocalists in Koffi Olomide’s legendary Quartier Latin International band. He later established himself as one of Africa’s biggest solo artistes, earning numerous awards and performing across Europe, North America and Africa.
In 2026, he also made history after becoming the first African artiste to top France’s official albums chart with his album XX, released to mark 20 years of his music career.
A long relationship with Kenya
Kenya has become one of Fally Ipupa’s favourite performance destinations.
Over the years, he has headlined several concerts in Nairobi, drawing large crowds each time he visits.
One of his memorable performances came during the Walker Town Concert at Uhuru Gardens in September 2023, where he shared the stage with Nigerian star Tiwa Savage, Kenyan rapper Nyashinski and South African duo TxC. The event attracted thousands of music lovers and reaffirmed his popularity in Kenya.
In May 2026, the Congolese star also performed in Nairobi during the Africa Forward Summit celebrations at the Kasarani Indoor Arena. The concert featured several African stars, including Yemi Alade, Bien, Nandy and Youssou N’Dour, with organisers describing it as a celebration of African culture and unity.
His concerts in Kenya have become known for live instrumentation, energetic dancers, elaborate stage production and lengthy performances that often stretch late into the night.
The September concert is expected to attract fans from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and other neighbouring countries.
