Ksh5M gown: Bahati reveals Diana’s wedding dress cost as he shuts down fundraising plans

Popular Kenyan musician Kevin Kioko Bahati has opened up about his grand wedding plans with his wife Diana Marua during a conversation on her YouTube channel.
In the video shared on Thursday, June 12, 2026, Bahati revealed details of what he envisions as a luxurious and unforgettable celebration, describing it as a once-in-a-lifetime event meant to reflect their love story.
He noted that the wedding is intended to stand out as one of the most memorable celebrations in Africa.
“The wedding I’m going to do for you will be the best Africa has seen,” Bahati disclosed.
During the conversation, he also firmly ruled out any plans for a fundraising committee, insisting that the wedding will be fully financed without public contributions.
“Wedding yangu, yenye nakufanyia wewe, because I will marry you, no one else. Wedding haitakuwa na committee ya kuchanga,” he said.

Lavish wedding
Additionally, Bahati revealed that Diana’s wedding gown is expected to cost not less than Ksh 5 million.
“Gown, I know it won’t be less than Ksh five million,” he added.
He added that the planned ceremony will be unlike any other, emphasising that it will be a carefully designed celebration filled with multiple events and a strong romantic theme.
The singer further shared his vision for a ten-day celebration, which he described as a “decade of love”.
He explained that the event will include several themed parties, culminating in a final white wedding ceremony.
“I am going to do for you ten days of celebration. It will be a decade of love, that is our tag line and I will make sure it is ten parties with the last one being the white wedding.

Diana, however, yet again questioned the timing of the plans, asking when the wedding would finally take place and expressing concern over the repeated promises.
“When? I am tired of empty promises,” Diana asked.
In response, Bahati admitted that he is still working towards the financial readiness required to deliver the elaborate celebration, saying he is currently focused on raising the necessary funds.
“I am looking for money,” he responded.
Bahati has for years publicly promised to wed Diana Marua in a grand and highly anticipated wedding, often hinting at a lavish ceremony that would match their celebrity status.
However, despite repeated statements and build-up shared both online and in interviews, the much-talked-about wedding has never materialised.
