Juma Jux and Priscy celebrate one year of parenthood with their son’s first birthday

Tanzanian musician Juma Jux and his wife, Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo, have celebrated their first year as parents as their son, Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, turned one.
The couple marked the milestone on Monday, August 24, 2026, with an emotional message dedicated to their son, reflecting on the past year and the joy he has brought into their lives. “We blinked, and a whole year passed,” they wrote.
In the message, Jux and Priscilla described their son as a happy, clever and curious child who has brought a new experience to their lives since his arrival.

The couple said watching their son grow had been one of the biggest blessings they had experienced since becoming parents. They reflected on the 365 days they have spent caring for him, watching his personality develop and sharing different moments as a family.
“You are the most cheeky, happy, cleverest little pumpkin. You light up every room you walk into, and we’re so proud to be your parents,” they stated.
Jux and Priscilla also shared prayers for their son’s future, asking that he grows up healthy, happy and with purpose.
They said they hoped he would always know how deeply he is loved and that his laughter would remain part of their lives. “You are our greatest answered prayer. Happy 1st Birthday, our sunshine. We love you endlessly,” they wrote.
Birth of their first child
Jux and Priscilla welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, on Sunday, August 24, 2025. The child was born at a hospital in Canada, with the couple later sharing their happiness with family, friends and followers.
Priscilla’s mother, Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo, also announced the arrival online, expressing her excitement at becoming a grandmother. The birth marked another chapter in the relationship between Jux and Priscilla, who have continued to share parts of their family life with their followers.
Jux on expanding his family
Before welcoming their son, Jux had spoken about his plans to start and eventually expand his family with Priscilla. The musician explained that although having children could have happened earlier in his life, he had been deliberate about choosing the right partner and timing.
For Jux, starting a family was a major decision that required more than simply having a child. He said finding a partner who shared his values and vision was an important part of the process. He also said he believed divine guidance played a role in deciding when to start a family.
Jux’s plans for more children
The musician has also shared his hopes of having a bigger family with Priscilla. According to Jux, both he and his wife understand the importance of planning for the future as they consider expanding their family.
He previously revealed that he hopes to have at least five children and, if circumstances allow, would like to have six. For now, however, the couple are celebrating their first child and the first 365 days of parenthood, marking the occasion with gratitude and prayers for his future.
