Jeff Koinange, Samidoh trade suits for cowboy looks as their US country music show draws 3,500 fans
By Steve Ireri, August 17, 2026Media personality Jeff Koinange and Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki traded their usual suits for dapper cowboy-inspired looks, joining thousands of fans who turned up for a country music and Mugithi extravaganza in Seattle, Washington.
The two were dressed in classic Western-inspired outfits, complete with cowboy hats, smart shirts, tailored trousers, leather-style boots and other signature cowboy accessories, giving the event a distinctly American country feel while blending it with the Kenyan Mugithi culture.
More than 3,500 people, most of them Kenyans, showed up for the Country Meets Mugithi event, which brought together Koinange, Samidoh, KarehB, Sir Elvis and Pierra Makena for an evening of music, entertainment and family fun.
In a post shared on Facebook on Sunday, August 16, 2026, Koinange described the Saturday show in Seattle as a memorable experience, saying the large Kenyan turnout helped create a vibrant atmosphere at the event.
“Just in case you missed it, Saturday in Seattle was a BLAST…More than 3500 mostly Kenyans showed up for Country Meets Mugithi… And Sir Elvis and Kareh B and Samidoh and Pierra Makenna did not disappoint…in a word, it was Smmmmmmokin!! Thanks, Seattle…. We LOVE YOU!!!” Koinange wrote.

He further described the event as a sleepless night in Seattle, highlighting the meeting of country music and Mugithi while singling out Samidoh for his performance and praising the audience for its energy.
“It was Sleepless in Seattle as Country Music met Mugithi… Samido was ON FIRE….The crowd was AMAZING! Thanks for the LOVE, Seattle!” he added.
Koinange also shared another update from Pelayos Farm in Tacoma, Washington, where he said the Kenyan community had turned out in large numbers for what he described as an evening filled with family entertainment and country music.
“It is Smmmmmmmmmokin at Peyalo’s Farm in Tacoma, Washington…so many Kenyans, so much family fun…Such GREAT Country Music Vibes…” he wrote.
The event had been promoted several days earlier by Koinange, who encouraged Kenyans and other country music lovers in the Seattle area to attend.
In the post, Koinange adopted the cowboy theme, opening with a greeting to the prospective attendees before announcing that Country Meets Mugithi would take place at Pelayos Farm Roy in Seattle on Saturday, August 15.
“Howdy, cowboys and cowgirls! Get ready because Country Meets Mugithi is TAKING OVER Pelayos Farm, Roy, Seattle on Saturday, August 15th!” he wrote.
He described the event as an experience built around music, entertainment and family activities, with a dedicated area for children.
“Join me, Jeff Koinange, KarehB, Samidoh Muchoki, Sir Elvis, PierraMac and a lineup of surprise DJs for an UNFORGETTABLE experience,” he wrote.
He added that the programme would feature music, entertainment and a supervised children’s area equipped with games, treats and other activities intended to make the event suitable for families.
“From amazing music and incredible vibes to a fully supervised Kids Corner packed with games, treats, and fun for the whole family, this is one event you definitely DON’T want to MISS,” Koinange wrote.
The event was scheduled to run from 3pm to 11pm at Pelayos Farm Roy in Seattle, with Koinange urging his followers to secure tickets ahead of the show.
“BE THERE… or BE NOWHERE!!!! Grab your tickets now!” he wrote.
