IShowSpeed launches his foundation to support youth football across Africa
American streamer IShowSpeed has officially launched the IShowSpeed Foundation, an initiative focused on expanding access to sports and recreational opportunities for young people worldwide, with Africa taking centre stage in its early phase.
According to the announcement he made on his Instagram page on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, he confirmed the foundation’s official launch and partnership. “The IShowSpeed Foundation is officially LIVE!” he wrote.
He went on to highlight the timing and purpose behind the initiative, adding, “In honour of Africa Day yesterday, we’re giving back to the continent that showed me so much love.”

He further revealed that the support will go beyond one country, noting, “We’ll be supporting African-led football programmes across the 20 countries I visited on my tour.”
The launch introduces a new programme dubbed the “Live Africa Fund,” created in partnership with Common Goal. The fund is expected to support grassroots football programmes across several African countries that the streamer visited during his early 2026 livestream tours.

Ksh6.4 million donation kick-starts campaign
To officially kick-start the initiative, IShowSpeed has committed $50,000, approximately Ksh6.4 million, as the first donation into the Live Africa Fund. The money is expected to help strengthen community-based football programmes and improve access to training and equipment for young players.
On the foundation’s official website, he reflected on his travels and the inspiration behind the project. He noted that visiting different countries changed his perspective on young people and their shared dreams. “Travelling the world shows me we’re all the same,” he wrote
“Kids everywhere just want to have fun and chase their dreams,” he added.

The message further emphasised the foundation’s goal of expanding access to play, “The IShowSpeed Foundation expands access to play for young people around the world.”
He concluded by stressing the broader mission, “Giving them the chance to move, create, and find out what they’re made of,” he stated
As the Live Africa Fund begins its rollout, attention now shifts to the selection of football programmes that will benefit across the 20 African countries. The initiative is expected to spotlight grassroots talent and strengthen community sports development across the continent.
