I need my kids back: Pastor Kanyari says children are not doing okay with Tash

Pastor Kanyari has sparked conversation online after making emotional remarks about his children, claiming that they are not doing well under the care of Tash and insisting that he wants them back.

In a series of posts shared on his social media on Sunday, June 21, 2026, Kanyari expressed deep concern over the well-being of his children, Sky and Danny, saying he has been forced into silence for too long despite what he believes is a worsening situation at home.

Emotional concern over children’s situation

Kanyari said seeing his children online has left him emotional, claiming that what is being presented publicly does not reflect their real situation. He questioned claims that his children are okay, insisting that their condition is worrying from his perspective.

“You even feel like crying when I see my child go on TikTok Live and lie in the live and say they are okay. Which child is doing okay, and they have long nails and are not in school?” he asked.

He further raised concern about his daughter, Sky, saying he believes her situation is getting worse despite ongoing discussions online. “You see, Sky is just becoming worse, and people keep telling me to keep quiet. People will, in fact, be happy to hear my child has become pregnant or her destiny has been destroyed while I’m still here and I can have the capability to talk,” he said.

Kanyari added that he has now reached his limit and will no longer stay silent about the matter. “I’m not keeping quiet again. They should return both my children,” he stated.

Claims over school fees and time out of school

The preacher also alleged that his children have been out of school for three weeks due to unpaid school fees, forcing them to stay at home. He further claimed that after the issue gained attention on social media, funds were later paid through external intervention.

“Tash has not paid school fees for my children. The children have been chased out of school for 3 weeks, and they have stayed at home. After people started making noise on social media, that’s when the children were paid school fees by the Deputy President of Kenya Ksh400,000,” he lamented.

Despite this, Kanyari insisted that he does not want outside help when it comes to his children’s responsibilities. “I don’t want my children’s school fees to be paid by someone else. I want my kids. I will pay for them,” he said.

Warning of speaking out further

In his final remarks, Kanyari suggested that he holds information about the family that he has chosen not to reveal publicly out of respect for the late Betty Bayo. However, he warned that he may speak out if he does not regain custody of his children.

“There are some things I know about that family, and I don’t want to just speak publicly because I have some respect and loved late Betty Bayo, but I’ll come to say what killed Betty Bayo very soon,” he said.

“Tash, return my children, and I’ll keep quiet, or else if I don’t get my children back, I’ll say what killed Betty Bayo, and I’ll come with evidence,” Kanyari said.
