Betty Bayo’s daughter Sky painfully recalls visiting late mum’s grave on Mother’s Day

Late gospel singer Betty Bayo’s daughter, Sky Victor, has revealed that they took some time to visit her late mum’s grave as the world marked Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
Speaking in a video shared on her TikTok on Thursday, May 14, 2026, Sky emotionally opened up about the painful experience, admitting that the day was extremely difficult for her and her younger brother, Danny, as they continued grieving their mother’s death.
The young girl explained that, unlike her usual cheerful videos, this particular recording carried sadness and emotional pain, noting that she lacked the energy and excitement she normally has while addressing her followers online.
“Today’s video is not so jovial. You can even hear it in my voice while talking to you. I am always so excited, but now I am not. I don’t have energy. It’s a chill day, so happy late Mother’s Day to all the mothers! Mother’s Day was four days ago, so I have posted this video now, but I recorded it then. This was on the exact day,” she said.
According to Sky, she even skipped school on Mother’s Day so that she could spend time at her late mother’s burial site together with family members.
She admitted that a year ago, she never imagined that she would one day spend Mother’s Day mourning her mother at a gravesite, describing the painful reality as something difficult to fully accept.
“So I am just showing how we spent it after going to my mum’s grave. I skipped school that day because it was Mother’s Day, and so I missed coming and being with her at the place she was buried,” she said.

Sky further reflected on how unpredictable life can sometimes be, saying nobody truly knows what God has planned for them in the future.
“Last year at a time like this, I never imagined I would be spending my Mother’s Day like this. It’s very, very sad,” she added.
The emotional TikToker added that despite the pain, the family has slowly been trying to accept their new reality, even though there is nothing they can do to change what happened.
She particularly expressed concern for her younger brother Danny, saying he has been deeply affected by their mother’s death and continues to silently struggle with grief.
“You know, you never know what God is planning for you. But this is our life now, and there is no turning back; there is nothing we can do. So this is us, we came to be with our mum, and you can see here my small brother Danny is very sad. It was really a sad day for me, and I also felt so bad,” she explained.
According to Sky, Danny often avoids crying despite the pain he carries because he believes their mother would not have wanted to see him constantly mourning.
“Even when you watch this video, this boy, Danny, is in so much pain. Actually, the people who are grieving a lot are Danny and us. I always ask him why he does not just cry, and he tells me if mum were alive, she would not want him to cry,” she added.
