Pastor Kanyari says he wants to take son Danny to Spain to become next Lamine Yamal

Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has opened up about his dream of seeing his son, Danny, follow in the footsteps of Spanish teenage football sensation Lamine Yamal, saying he hopes to one day take him to Spain to nurture his football talent.
Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina on Sunday, July 19, 2026, Kanyari said watching the 19-year-old Spanish star lead his country on the world’s biggest football stage inspired him to dream big for his own son.
According to the preacher, he hopes Danny will one day become one of the world’s greatest footballers just like Yamal.
“Today Spain is facing off with Argentina. Today it’s going to be a crazy final. Spain is led by the 19-year-old boy Lamine Yamal. I just wish my son Danny can grow up to become like Lamine Yamal. I really wish,” Kanyari said.
The televangelist then turned emotional as he spoke about his children, saying he wished they could live with him so he could personally raise and support them.
“On that note also, I wish that man called Tash could let go of the kids so they can live with me. I will bring them up well and make sure that my son will have everything,” he said.

The preacher went on to reveal his ambitious plan of enrolling Danny in school in Spain, saying he believes the move would give his son the best opportunity to pursue a successful football career.
“I will raise him until he goes to school in Spain so he can be the best footballer in the world like Lamine Yamal,” Kanyari added.
He maintained that he has the financial capability to make that dream a reality.
“This is because I have the capability to do that. I am not that badly off. I have some proceeds still with me,” he said.
Kanyari’s remarks come as football fans around the world eagerly await the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, where Spain and defending champions Argentina are set to battle for global glory at the New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium) in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The final has been billed as a historic showdown between 39-year-old Lionel Messi, who is chasing a second consecutive World Cup title with Argentina, and Spain’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, who has emerged as one of world football’s brightest stars after leading Spain’s impressive run to the final.
The final also marked a historic moment for FIFA, with the tournament featuring its first-ever Super Bowl-style halftime show, headlined by global music stars including Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber and BTS, alongside a star-studded pre-match ceremony.
