Late Kenyan gospel singer Betty Bayo’s widower, Hiram Gutau, popularly known as Tash, has left fans wowed after a video surfaced showing him giving his late wife’s son, Danny Victor, a haircut at home.

In the clip, shared on TikTok by Sky Victor on Monday, February 9, 2026, Tash is seen moving the shaver carefully through Danny’s hair, trimming and shaping it with precision as if he were a professional barber.

He was clad in a Manchester United jersey and stayed focused while trimming the sides of Danny’s head.

Danny, in the short clip, is seen sitting comfortably as the haircut progressed and occasionally smiling after Tash whispered something in his ear.

Fans’ reactions

The video touched the hearts of many, especially Kenyans who were fans of the late ‘11th Hour’ hitmaker.

While some remarked that Betty must be smiling from heaven, seeing Tash continue to care for her children, others sent him messages of peace and offered prayers for him amid the recent social media trolling he has faced.

Here are some of the comments

Betty’s untimely passing

Tash, who, according to Sky, does not own a social media account, became a widower on Monday, November 10, 2025, after his wife Betty lost a brief battle to leukaemia.

Betty died at the Kenyatta National Hospital’s private wing at 1:03 pm, ending days of speculation about her health.

According to a family representative who spoke at the time, Betty had been unwell since the previous week, suffering from acute leukaemia and excessive bleeding.

She revealed that she was initially admitted to AAR Hospital on Kiambu Road before being transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital on Friday, November 7, 2025.

“We are here at Kenyatta National Hospital’s private wing. The spouse, the father of their children, and friends of Betty Bayo want to inform the public that today at 1:03 pm, we have lost Betty, and it is no longer a rumour. Betty had been unwell since last week, suffering from acute leukaemia and excessive bleeding. She was first taken to AAR Hospital on Kiambu Road before being transferred here on Friday,” she said.

The family representative further shared details of the singer’s burial and asked for privacy as they finalised arrangements.

“The doctors did their best, but the will of God has been fulfilled. We are planning to move her body to Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, and all communications will follow,” the representative added.
