I have not given up: Kanyari reaffirms Kasarani MP 2027 bid
Founder of the Salvation and Healing Ministry Pastor Victor Kanyari has reaffirmed his intention to vie for the Kasarani parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election, saying he remains determined despite the challenges and criticism he has faced over the years.
Speaking during weekly church service on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Kanyari said his vision for Kasarani remains as strong as ever and that he has no plans to abandon his political ambitions.
“Despite all the struggles, challenges, and obstacles I have gone through, my vision for Kasarani remains stronger than ever. I have not given up, and I am still firmly in the race for Kasarani MP 2027,” Kanyari said.

The pastor maintained that his journey towards the 2027 elections is still on course and expressed confidence that, together with residents, he can help transform Kasarani.
“The journey continues, and together we shall build a better Kasarani,” he added.
The preacher noted that his journey has not been easy but insisted that the difficulties he has encountered have only strengthened his resolve to seek elective office.
310 scandal and criticisms
Kanyari, who has previously spoken about his desire to join politics, said many people criticised him because of the past controversies and scandals that have surrounded his public life.
According to Kanyari, his continued pursuit of the seat despite public criticism should serve as an encouragement to others facing obstacles in their own lives.
“Imagine Pastor Kanyari wa Ksh 310 mwenye alipigwa vita na ma scandals na bado nina ng’ang’ana kuwa mbunge wa Kasarani. Imagine ile vita nimepigwa Kenya, vile nimeongelelewa vibaya and today nina risk kuwa mbunge wa Kasarani,” he added.
He urged Kenyans not to allow challenges, negative opinions or past mistakes to stop them from pursuing their dreams.
“Ikiwa mimi naweza risk ata wewe unaweza risk na mungu atakubariki,” Kanyari urged.

Political transition
As he prepares to fully venture into the political world, Kanyari also lays out plans that will enable the continuity of his ministry in his absence.
The vocal preacher said that he wants to identify and mentor a group of youths who will carry on his pastoral work and continue spreading the gospel once he shifts his focus to the political arena.
“Nataka ku-anoint vijana kumi ambao nitawaachia anointing yangu waendeleshe u pastor and continue preaching the gospel, because I’m joining politics,” Kanyari said.
