Risper Faith opens up about her experience after giving birth in US

Kenyan enterprenuer and influencer Risper Faith has opened up about her experience after giving birth in the United States, revealing why she wanted to extend her stay in hospital for as long as possible.
Speaking about her postpartum journey on Thursday, August 6,2026, Risper said mothers who undergo a Caesarean section (C-section) can remain in hospital for several days depending on their insurance cover.
According to her, women can stay for three to four days after delivery, while those with comprehensive insurance may even choose to remain in hospital for a week or longer.
“Ukifanya C Section: depending on your insurance, you can stay in the hospital for three to four days, or even a week if you want, if you have a good insurance you can stay as long as ayou want,” Risper said.
Risper admitted that she was reluctant to return home because she knew she would have to take care of herself and the baby without house help.
“So mimi nilikuwa nasema naenda kwa nyumba kusema fanya nini na hakuna maid kwa nyumba, kila siku walikuwa wanakuja kuniangalia najifanya niko mgonjwa sana siwezi amka ndio nikae kwa hospitali siku nyingi,” she added.
Exceptional care
She went on to praise the level of care she received, saying the hospital made recovering after childbirth much easier.
According to Risper, mothers could simply call a nurse to take the baby to the nursery whenever they needed to rest, allowing them to recover while knowing their newborn was in safe hands.
She also spoke highly of the meals served at the facility, comparing them to those offered in a hotel.
“Unajua kwa hospitali it is very easy all you do is just call the nurse to take the baby to the nursery as you sleep, then the hospital food is delicious it is like in a hotel you order what you want,” Risper explained.
Risper further revealed that whenever she was unable to shower on her own, a nurse would step in to help her.
“Nikishindwa kuoga naita nurse ananiosha,” she added.
Daughter’s birth
The influencer announced the arrival of her second child, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, sharing a heartfelt tribute as she celebrated the newest addition to her family.
“One week of pure bliss. One week of falling more in love with you every single day. You have filled our hearts with a love we never knew was possible and made our world brighter in every way,” she wrote.
