‘I have chosen peace’ – Juma Jux addresses claims of fathering child with another woman

Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has addressed claims circulating online that he fathered a child with another woman, saying the claims are false and the matter has now been handed to legal authorities.

Jux, who is married to Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo, said in a statement shared on Saturday, August 29, 2026, he had initially chosen not to give the claims attention because he was certain they were untrue.

However, he said the matter had resurfaced and was now affecting his name, family, businesses and the reputation he had built over the years.

Jux contacts woman

Jux said similar claims had emerged previously, prompting him to contact the woman at the centre of the claims to establish why she had made the statements.

According to the singer, the woman confirmed to him that she had never had a sexual or romantic relationship with him.

He said she also asked him not to give the matter further attention.

Jux explained that he had therefore remained silent until the claims resurfaced and began taking a different direction.

The singer said he has now decided to pursue the matter through the courts.

“Kwa kuwa sasa madhara yameibuka tena na kuchukua mwelekeo tofauti, suala hili sasa lipo mikononi mwa vyombo vya sheria na hatua zaidi zitachukuliwa dhidi ya mhusika,” Jux said.

Jux said unverified claims could have consequences beyond social media, particularly when they involve a person’s family, businesses and reputation.

Jux defends his name

The singer said he had spent years building his name and businesses through hard work, discipline and dedication.

“Nimejenga jina langu, brand yangu na biashara zangu kwa miaka mingi, kwa kazi, nidhamu na kujituma sana,” he said.

Jux warned that anyone who associates his name, family or businesses with claims he considers false should be prepared to face the consequences under the law.

He concluded by saying he had chosen to handle the matter calmly while pursuing what he described as the appropriate legal action.

“Kwa upande wangu, nimechagua utulivu, ukweli na hatua sahihi za kisheria,” Jux said.
