USA-based Kenyan content creator Bernice Saroni has opened up about a difficult season in her life, revealing that deep pain, heartbreak and loneliness pushed her closer to God as she sought healing through prayer.

In a Facebook post on Saturday June 20, 2026, Bernice shared an emotional message alongside a photo of herself with her sons, reflecting on the struggles she has gone through and how faith helped her overcome moments she described as extremely painful.

She said there was a time when the hurt she experienced was so deep that it could have taken her down a different path, but instead, she chose to turn to God.

She revealed that rather than seeking comfort through alcohol, she withdrew, prayed and surrendered her pain to God.

“There was a season when the hurt was so deep that it didn’t lead me to alcohol. It led me to my room, on my knees, surrendering my heart to God, asking Him to ease the pain and help me heal,” Bernice wrote.

The content creator said she went through moments of silent struggles that many people around her did not see, including tears and burdens she carried privately.

“I have cried tears nobody saw. I have carried burdens that felt too heavy,” she shared.

Bernice also revealed that her journey included facing heartbreak, disappointment, loneliness and sickness, admitting there were moments when she questioned how she would make it through another day.

“I have faced heartbreak, disappointment, loneliness, sickness, and moments when I wondered how I would make it through another day,” she said.

However, Bernice said she found strength through her faith, adding that God remained present during the moments when she felt overwhelmed.

“But God met me in those moments,” she wrote.

She said looking at her sons today reminds her that she was never abandoned, describing them as her source of strength, purpose and one of her greatest blessings.

“Today, I look at my sons and I see proof that God never abandoned me. They are my strength, my purpose, and my greatest blessing,” Bernice said.

She added that the sacrifices she made, including sleepless nights and prayers whispered through tears, were not wasted.

“Every sacrifice, every sleepless night, every prayer whispered through tears was not in vain,” she wrote.

Bernice further reflected on her journey, saying that although she and her sons may not have had a perfect path, their story had become a testimony of resilience and faith.

“We may not have had a perfect journey, but we have a testimony,” she said.

The media personality added that the experiences meant to break her eventually strengthened her relationship with God.

“What was meant to break me brought me closer to God. What was meant to destroy me built my faith. And if you see me smiling today, know that it was God who carried me when I couldn’t carry myself,” she said.
