Baba Levo sheds light on Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz’s breakup

Tanzanian entertainer who turned politician Clayton Revocatus Chipando, widely known as Baba Levo, has shed more light on singer Zuhura Othman Soud’s announcement that she had ended her relationship with Naseeb Abdul Juma, alias Diamond Platnumz.
Speaking during a press briefing on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Baba Levo, who is Diamond Platnumz’s long-time associate, revealed that the couple is currently going through a disagreement but expressed confidence they will reconcile.
Baba Levo acknowledged that there was tension between the two, saying the misunderstanding could lead to a permanent separation if left unresolved.
“Ni ukweli kuna ugomvi na kiuhalisia, hii ugomvi ambayo umetokea unaweza kupelekea hawa watu wakatengana, tunazuia hilo lisitoke kwa sababu mimi nikimwangalia Zuchu na Diamond, naon ani watu wanapendana sana,” Baba Levo said.
According to him, those close to the pair are working to establish the root of the disagreement and help the couple resolve their differences.
“Tutaangalia ni nini kina sababisha hayo matatizo na tutazuia,” he said.
He also reassured fans that he believes the pair will patch things up soon, expressing optimism that Diamond will attend the launch of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project in Kigoma on July 20 in high spirits.
“Nataka niwahakikishieni, Diamond ataenda kuimba kigoma, tarehe ishirini ambapo tutakuwa tunazindua SGR, akiwa na furaha kwa sababu atakuwa na mke wake washapatana na mambo yatakuwa ni mazuri,” Baba Levo stated.
Zuchu and Diamond’s love life
Baba Levo’s remarks come days after Zuchu publicly announced that she had parted ways with Diamond Platnumz, a revelation that sparked widespread reactions from fans across East Africa.
“Hello, my GPG. Mimi na aliyekuwa mwenzangu, we are now separated and going through a divorce. I announce this with a heavy heart. After six years of being together, I have finally decided to choose myself,” Zuchu announced.
Although neither Zuchu nor Diamond has shared further details about the reported split, Baba Levo’s comments have fuelled speculation that the two may still find a way to reconcile.
The relationship between Diamond and Zuchu has been characterised by public breakups and reconciliations in recent years, leaving fans eager to see whether the latest fallout will mark the end of their romance or another chapter in their on-and-off love story.
