Zuchu recalls wanting to slap Diamond Platnumz for no reason due to pregnancy mood swings

Tanzanian singer Zuhura Othman, popularly known as Zuchu, has finally revealed that her pregnancy was not without its share of drama, recalling a time she wanted to slap her husband, Diamond Platnumz, for no apparent reason after waking up in the middle of the night.
In a Snapchat story on Sunday, August 16, 2026, the ‘Sukari’ hitmaker revealed that the pregnancy made her dislike Diamond so much that thoughts of hitting him would unexpectedly cross her mind without restraint.
“I hated him, yaani nilikuwa simpendi hapo kama nimtie kofi,” she wrote.
This came after a Snapchat fan using the handle @Brunelle asked her to clarify whether she experienced mood swings and whether she troubled the ‘Komosava’ hitmaker in any way during her nine-month pregnancy journey.

The fan also asked Zuchu to come clean on whether she developed unusual dislikes during the pregnancy, including not wanting to smell Diamond’s body odour or the perfumes he used.
“Did you trouble Diamond through your pregnancy or not like his perfumes or anything?” the fan asked.
‘It’s a girl’
Diamond was the first to break the news, welcoming his daughter with a heartfelt message in which he described her as a precious addition to the family.
“Welcome to the world, our precious little angel. You are already loved more than words can ever say!” he wrote.
Zuchu followed shortly afterwards with a brief but deeply personal message that captured the significance of the moment for her as she embraced motherhood.
“My whole world,” she wrote.

The arrival of the baby came only days after the couple held a lavish baby shower attended by family members and close friends, where pink decorations helped reveal that they were expecting a girl.
He said no amount of money could adequately match what Zuchu had done for him, describing motherhood as a priceless gift.
“Karibu bi mdogo wangu (N), bint Naseeb Kichwa!! Tunakupenda sana,” she wrote.
Mama Dangote then added a playful touch to her message, jokingly asking the newborn to come and take her husband while also expressing her hope that the baby would inherit her neck.
“Haya uje kunichukulia mume wangu sasa. Nitafurahi sana upate urithi wa shingo yangu!!!” she wrote.
