Baba Jimmy issues emotional update after wife Mama Jimmy loses unborn child
Wajumbe Records preacher Baba Jimmy, who lives in the US with his wife Mama Jimmy, has opened up about the painful loss of their unborn baby.
In a video update shared from a hospital setting on Thursday, May 28, 2026, Baba Jimmy revealed that they had been expecting a baby after Mama Jimmy became pregnant roughly three months ago, a development they had chosen to keep private at the time.
He explained that the pregnancy had now sadly ended in miscarriage, noting that Mama Jimmy had been hospitalised after experiencing heavy bleeding, which prompted immediate medical attention.
“So today is a very sad day for us. Many people have been asking when we will give birth here in the US, given that our children were all born in Kenya. Mama Jimmy had been expecting a baby while we were here in the US. We had not updated you, but about three months ago she got pregnant,” he said.

While revealing that he had joined Mama Jimmy in hospital, Baba Jimmy added that doctors had carried out several tests and were monitoring her condition as they hoped for her recovery and discharge.
He further expressed deep sadness over the loss, acknowledging that many of their followers had been asking about when they would welcome a child, especially since their other children were born in Kenya before they relocated to the US.
“We are now sad to share that the pregnancy is no more. She had a miscarriage, which is why you see me here in the hospital with her. She was bleeding heavily, but she is now under medical care. The doctors have done all the necessary tests, and I hope she will recover and be able to go home,” he shared.
On her part, Mama Jimmy also gave a brief update from the hospital bed, saying she was feeling slightly better than before and appreciating the concern from their supporters.
She added that they decided to update their followers on the situation, despite the emotional difficulty of the moment, as she continues to recover.
“Right now, I can say I am not feeling as bad as I was before. I am a bit better now. We just thought to update you,” she said.
