Socialite and entrepreneur Amber Ray has responded to a social media critic who questioned both her appearance and that of her daughter, saying she has learned to rise above negativity after spending more than 20 years in the public eye.

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Monday, June 22, 2026, she addressed the issue after a follower sent her harsh messages criticising her personal life and making negative remarks about her daughter.

The critic reportedly described Amber Ray as uneducated and went on to accuse her of bleaching her daughter, a claim that prompted a firm response from the social media personality.

Amber reflects on life in the spotlight

Having spent years under public eye, Amber said she has come to understand that not everyone will have something positive to say, regardless of how long they have followed her journey. In her message, she expressed disappointment that some people choose criticism over kindness despite having watched her life unfold for many years.

“The saddest thing isn’t the accusation; it’s realising that some people can watch your journey for over 20 years and still never find a single kind thing to say,” she wrote.

Her response appeared to focus less on the criticism itself and more on the attitude behind it, suggesting that some people have already formed opinions that cannot easily be changed.

Standing up for her daughter

Amber also addressed comments directed at her daughter, making it clear that she fully embraces and celebrates her child exactly as she is. Without directly engaging with the allegations made by the critic, she emphasised that her daughter is loved and valued, regardless of what others may say online.

“As for my daughter, I could never look at a child God entrusted to me and think she needs to be anything other than what He created her to be. She is loved, accepted and celebrated exactly as she is,” she stated.

The statement was widely viewed as a message of reassurance and support for her daughter amid the criticism.

Choosing peace over online battles

Rather than engage in a prolonged exchange, Amber said she prefers to focus on her peace of mind and avoid trying to change the views of people who have already made up their minds about her.

According to the entrepreneur, personal growth often comes with accepting that not everyone will understand or agree with one’s choices. “When you live in peace, you stop trying to convince people who have already decided not to understand you,” she wrote.

Her message to long-time critics

As she concluded her statement, Amber appeared to address individuals who have followed her life for years while continuing to criticise her.

While maintaining a calm tone, she suggested that those who have spent years watching her journey have at least had a front-row seat to her growth and experiences. “But after 20 years of watching me, I hope at least the view has been worth it,” she said.

Her response has since drawn reactions online, with supporters praising her for defending her daughter and choosing to address the criticism without engaging in a public confrontation.
