‘AK-47 pointed at my face’ – King Kaka recalls harrowing police raid at his house
Rapper King Kaka has revisited a frightening moment from his school years, recounting a police raid that saw armed officers storm his home while he was in Form 3 preparing for exams.
Speaking in a video shared on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, the artiste described waking up to a shocking scene inside his house.
“So I wake up in the morning. I open my eyes, and the first thing I see is an AK-47. Imepointwa hivi kwa face yangu,” he said.
Morning raid shock
King Kaka said the incident unfolded early in the morning, when he was suddenly confronted by armed officers already inside the house.
He recalled seeing multiple police officers in the room, all carrying rifles, leaving him confused and frightened.
“Wote na ma-AK-47. My mama anasama huko. Mi niko na boxer,” he said, describing the tense moment.

At the time, he explained, he was in Form 3 and had been preparing for exams, sticking to a strict routine of early sleep and early morning revision.
“I would sleep early so that I wake up around 4 a.m. to revise because the paper was in the morning,” he said.
Attempt to prove himself
King Kaka said he tried to explain to the officers that he was simply a student focused on his studies.
“Mimi ni student na nimelala mapema sababu niko na exams kesho. Please, please,” he recalled telling them.
His mother also stepped in during the incident, insisting he was her son and trying to calm the situation.

He further explained that officers asked him to prove he was a student, prompting him to show his school bag and documents, including the date written on his school materials.
“Nilionyesha hadi date,” he said.
Wider police operation
King Kaka later discovered that his brothers had also been arrested during the same operation.
He said the raid was part of a broader police search for a missing firearm in the area, which led officers to move from house to house picking up youths in the process.
Reflecting on the experience, King Kaka said the ordeal remains one of the most unsettling moments of his early life but also one that shaped his discipline.
He linked the experience to his growth, saying it strengthened his focus and determination during his schooling years and beyond.
