Police nab man with rolls of bhang and narcotics in Mombasa crackdown

Police officers from Muganda Police Station have apprehended a man linked to rolls of bhang and narcotics in the Mombasa crackdown.

The police confirmed the arrest, which was an intelligence-led operation, in a statement on the National Police Service’s official X account on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

According to the police report, the person of interest was apprehended on Monday, October 28, 2025, in the evening in the Maganda area with at least 32 rolls of bhang and 40 sachets of narcotics.

“Officers from Maganda Police Station yesterday conducted an intelligence-led operation targeting narcotics and illicit alcohol in the Maganda area. They arrested one suspect and recovered 32 rolls and 40 sachets of a substance believed to be narcotics,” NPS said.

At the time, police further confirmed that the person of interest was swiftly moved to police custody as he awaits arraignment in court.

“The suspect was taken to the station and placed in custody, pending processing and arraignment in court. The National Police Service commends the officers for their unwavering commitment to combating illicit alcohol and narcotics,” NPS noted.

Kisumu crackdown

Police officers in the Chemelil Police Post in Kisumu County recently dismantled Kangara factories while destroying thousands of litres in a major illicit brew crackdown in the region.

The National Police Service confirmed the crackdown on Monday, October 27, 2025, on its official X account, where they revealed details that led to the crackdown at several locations in Kisumu County

According to the National Police Service, the crackdown was led by a multi-agency security team comprising police officers from the Chemelil Police Post and National Government Administration Officers on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

At the time, the officers conducted the operation in Wagunga Village, Kamswa Sub-location, and Nyagoma Location, within the Miwani Division of the Muhoroni Sub-county.

“A multi-agency security team comprising police officers from the Chemelil Police Post and National Government Administration Officers conducted an operation in Wagunga Village, Kamswa Sub-location, Nyagoma Location, within Miwani Division of Muhoroni Sub-county on 26th October 2025,” NPS said.
