Farmhand arrested in shocking double murder of Elburgon couple
Police in Elburgon have arrested a farm worker claimed to have brutally murdered his employer in a horrifying incident that has left the town in shock.
The couple, aged 70 and 72 respectively, were reported missing on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at night.
It is a chilling confession from the assailant that he had killed the couple and disposed of their bodies in a borehole within the compound, which prompted the sleuths from Molo police station to swiftly respond and nab the person of interest, and transfer him to Elburgon Police Station for further interrogation.
Molo Sub-County Police Commander Timon Odingo confirmed that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had taken over the investigation, adding that the person of interest would undergo a medical examination.
“The investigation is ongoing. We urge residents to remain vigilant as we ensure justice is served for the slain couple and the missing house help,” he said.
Police, assisted by residents, managed to retrieve the bodies of the couple from the borehole, which were later taken to Elburgon Hospital Mortuary.
Area Chief Aaron Koima urged residents to remain calm and allow law enforcement to carry out thorough investigations.
“This is a heartbreaking incident for our community. We appeal for calm and patience as police work to bring justice for the victims,” Chief Koima said.
Kitengela murder
Elsewhere, Police in Kitengela have arrested a 24-year-old assailant after she stabbed her 38-year-old husband to death at Orata, Kitengela, Kajiado County.
The deceased succumbed to the thigh stab injury while receiving treatment. He worked as a tout, while his wife is a shoe vendor.

Confirming the incident, Isinya Subcounty police commander Simon Lokitari said investigations into the incident have been launched to ensure justice prevails.
“Life is precious and everybody should know that it is a crime and ungodly to terminate life. It is sad indeed that life has been lost. I would like to appeal to couples to ensure they resolve their issues mutually,” Lokitari said.
Lokitari urged the public to refrain from taking the law into their hands during conflicts and instead solve them mutually.
