Tanzanian influencer Chief Godlove unveils dates for visit to Kaluma Boy’s father

Tanzanian influencer and self-proclaimed millionaire Chief Godlove has announced that he will be visiting Kaluma Boy’s family in Nyeri following the viral fundraiser that rallied thousands of Kenyan TikTokers to Othaya in support of the young content creator’s bedridden father.
Chief, born Godlove Mwakibete, in a TikTok video on Monday, September 29, 2025, stated that he was deeply moved by the overwhelming display of unity and compassion that Kenyans showed during the fundraiser.
He explained that after recording a video promising to visit Kaluma Boy’s father, he felt compelled to fulfil his word, noting that he does not make pledges that he cannot keep.
“To be honest, I have really admired the support I have seen Kenyans give to your young man whose father has been suffering from a stroke. This is the young man I had recorded a video about, promising that I would visit him, and I meant it. I am not someone who says things and then fails to do them,” he said.
The influencer praised Kenyan youths for their rare sense of solidarity, saying that their actions stood out not just in the region but across the continent.
According to him, the turnout in Othaya was proof that young people in Kenya are not only conscious of their identity but also willing to stand together when one of their own is in need.
“First, let me salute Kenyans because you have shown a rare kind of unity that is not common. From today, I cannot compare Tanzania with Kenya, because the youth in Kenya know themselves, they understand their worth, and when you say you are united, you truly are,” Chief added.

He contrasted this with the situation in his home country, Tanzania, where he argued that envy and resentment often prevent communities from uniting in support of struggling individuals.
He lamented that in Tanzania, poor youths who succeed are frequently met with hostility instead of encouragement, unlike in Kenya, where communities rally together to uplift each other in times of crisis.
“Here in Tanzania, most of the time we come together only to bring someone down, to make sure a person does not succeed. Hatred and envy are everywhere in Tanzania, unlike in Kenya where people support one another. The difference is clear. In Kenya, when you see someone in trouble like Kaluma Boy, you come together to help. But in Tanzania, it is different, when a poor child succeeds, we hate him, we turn him into an enemy and fail to celebrate him. Yet when it is a foreigner or a rich man, we have no problem at all,” he added.
Godlove went on to describe Kenya as the capital city of Africa, crediting Kenyans for their unmatched resilience and willingness to travel long distances, from Nairobi to Nyeri, just to stand by Kaluma Boy and his ailing father.
The influencer revealed that his upcoming visit to Kenya would be both symbolic and practical, as he intends to personally commend Kenyans for their generosity and solidarity, while also meeting Kaluma Boy’s father as he had promised in his earlier video.
“That is why I really admire the unity I have seen in Kenyans. For me, Kenya is the capital city of Africa because of the love and courage you have shown. From Nairobi to Nyeri is a long distance, yet people travelled just to support Kaluma Boy. That is powerful. I feel I must come to Kenya to give you a direct shout-out for what you have done.”
