Stevo Simple Boy says it was Brenda who made the first move in their love story

Kenyan artiste Stevo Simple Boy has set the record straight about the beginnings of his relationship, disclosing that it was not he but his pregnant wife Brenda who made the first move.
Speaking in a video shared on their YouTube channel on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Stevo explained that Brenda approached him with the intention of starting a relationship, a gesture that he accepted and which eventually blossomed into the union they now share.
He said it was Brenda who requested that he become her partner, and from there they began dating.
“About who made the first move, it was Brenda. Yes, it was her. It is true, it is not a lie. Brenda had requested me to be her man, so that is how we started dating,” Stevo said.

Brenda herself confirmed the story, narrating how the two first connected during a TikTok live session.
She revealed that Stevo had been on a joint live with other artistes when she requested to be included. Once she was brought on, Stevo struck up a conversation with her, marking the beginning of their bond.
“We were on a TikTok live with Stevo, where three girls requested to join. I was one of them. I personally requested to be added to the live, and that is when Stevo started talking to me,” Brenda said.
Worst habits
As with many relationships, the couple admitted they each have habits that test their patience.
Stevo noted that Brenda’s worst habit is her occasional anger and suspicions that he may be unfaithful, but he added that he is often the first to apologise whenever a misunderstanding arises.
“Brenda’s worst habit is her temper, and sometimes she suspects me of cheating. I am also the first person to apologise whenever something bad happens,” he added.
Brenda, on the other hand, described Stevo’s flaw as his tendency to flirt with many women, saying that although he may appear calm and reserved, he often entertains attention from other ladies.
“Stevo’s worst habit is proposing to too many girls. You might see him as a calm man, but he loves flirting with women,” she said.
