Stevo Simple Boy attributes his single status to ladies’ rejection
Kenyan singer Stephen Otieno Adera, widely known as Stevo Simple Boy, has opened up about the reasons behind his single status, attributing it to the rejection he has faced from ladies.
Speaking during a candid interview on Friday, March 21, 2025, Kibra’s finest revealed that after going through character development and being rejected by the ladies he loved, he decided to move on and live life.
Stevo, known for his unfiltered honesty, jokingly referred to his newfound freedom as a “dragon-like” attitude, fiery and free. He suggested that instead of dwelling on setbacks, he has chosen to move forward with his life passionately, not allowing romantic rejection to hold him back.
“Nilipigwa tukio; sasa niko single. Wanadada walinikata, sasa nikaamua mimi kama dragon, wacha wacha tu, niteme tu moto,”Stevo said.
Stevo’s love life
Stevo’s love life has always been a subject of much public attention.
He once introduced popular content creator Pritty Vishy as his girlfriend, only for them to break up after a few months. After Vishy, he publicly introduced a lady named Grace as his wife, though their relationship also ended.
Recently, the rapper opened up about a past relationship in which he was cheated on 10 times, leading him to make a bold decision to stay single until 2026.
“Yes, mwanamke amewahi kucheat kwangu. I’ve been cheated on ten times. Ee, niligongewa mara kumi. Mambo ya mapenzi nimechorea mpaka 2026,” the singer said.
Stevo then shared that one of the things he dislikes most in a relationship is dishonesty, saying that it deeply hurts him when someone he cares about cheats on him.
“Siku hizi hakuna wamama waaminifu; acha nibaki single. Acha tu nikae single,” he added.
He emphasized that he does not believe in staying in a relationship where there’s infidelity, adding that he would have no hesitation to walk away from such a situation.
“Siwezi sema aina yangu ya mwanamke juu hata nikisema hawatakuja. Kama mtu hasemi nasepa,” he noted.
He also recalled a painful experience where a woman he was dating deceived him by pretending to be single when, in reality, she was already in a relationship, adding that it was the worst thing that had ever happened to him.
In another interview, on Thursday, March 14, 2024, the musician divulged details of how his girlfriend, Grace Atieno, sired a child with another man while he was still with her.
He noted that Grace had served him the worst disappointment, as even after giving birth, she never made any efforts to confirm the paternity of the child, leaving him even more confused.
“Tulikuwa sawa hapo mbele. We were living together. Then, when she was about to give birth, someone called me and whispered to me that they needed to tell me something. They said it was about time they revealed the truth to me and that I shouldn’t be upset. They told me the baby was not mine. Mtoto si wangu,” he said.
