Stephen Letoo thrown into mourning after his favorite Maasai TikToker passes away
Media personality Stephen Letoo has expressed deep grief following the untimely death of his favourite Maasai TikToker, Gracious Teyian Meyoki.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Letoo described how his heart was shattered after receiving the shocking news, adding that Meyoki’s passing had a profound impact on him personally and on the wider Maa community.

“My heart is shattered and broken. It is with shock that I last night received the sad news of the untimely death of my friend Gracious Teyian Meyoki,” he wrote.
Letoo recalled that he had last spoken to Meyoki just a week before her death, when she had invited him and other friends to attend the graduation ceremony of their best friend Paul Simat.
Her sudden passing after a brief illness has left many in shock, as she was widely admired for her vibrant presence on TikTok and her close ties to the community.
“When we last spoke with her last week, she had invited me alongside all her other friends to attend the graduation ceremony of Paul Simat . Her passing on after such a short illness is not only a big blow to the family but also to the entire Maa community,” he added.
Letoo urged followers and members of the public to keep Meyoki’s family in their prayers and to offer support during this difficult period.
He acknowledged the pain the family is enduring and encouraged the community to stand together in mourning.
“I can only imagine the pain the family is going through right now. As we mourn her passing on, let us keep them in our prayers and offer all the necessary support. Rest Easy Gracious .”
Peter Kioi tribute
Following the sad news, TikTok influencer Peter Kioi confirmed that the family of Gracious Teyian Meyoki had reached out to him.
He reported from Utawala at 5 pm Kenya time, noting that Meyoki passed away earlier in the day and would always be remembered by the TikTok community.
“Reporting from Uatwala live 5pm Kenya time very sad news. Our very own Meyoki has passed and united with ancestors. She passed away this morning and we will always remember her,” Kioi said.
Other reports indicate that Meyoki died in the hospital after a brief illness, underscoring the suddenness of her passing.
Her death has left friends, fans, and the wider Maasai community in deep shock.
