Musician and entrepreneur Karagu Kimani, widely known as KRG The Don, has denied recent online claims that he was being auctioned.

Speaking during an interview with media personality Alex Mwakideu in an episode aired on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, KRG disclosed that he is not the target of any auction attempts and that the said auctioneers were trying to seize his mother’s property.

He explained that since he is in the limelight, gossipers tend to sell a narrative aiming to trigger him so that he can address the matter.

Kuna kesi inaendelea lakini si mimi kuna watu ambao wanajaribu mambo yao kum intimidate mamangu, you see anything that touches my family because I am the one in my family who is known, so it will be me,” KRG explained.

Wambea watajaribu kuguza guza mahali ili u react vile wanataka.

In addition, KRG added that it is an ongoing legal case. He also warned those trying to intimidate his family.

“The good thing is that this is a matter before the court of law, and our lawyers are working on it, and anyone who thinks they can intimidate my mother wafikirie tena mambo mengine huyo mama amezaa watoto wake simba watapigania simba mbaka mwisho,” he added.

This comes amid swirling social media rumours, and he is making it clear that he and his family will not be intimidated.

Flaunting wads

On Thursday, November 27, 2025, the dancehall artiste showed off wads of crisp Ksh1,000 notes and dismissed online rumours that he vanished from social media because he went broke.

“Young people, I see that you don’t understand that when someone is quiet, it often means they are focused on their work and their life, and they don’t want unnecessary noise,” KRG said.

KRG went on to criticise those who jump to conclusions whenever someone appears silent online.

He explained that whenever he chooses to stay quiet, it does not mean he is struggling financially, but rather that he is focused on his life and personal projects, and does not want unnecessary noise.

He told young people that speculating about someone’s finances while that person is concentrating on their own life is both ignorant and disrespectful.

“You start imagining things that aren’t true. I have told you, whenever you mention my name, never associate it with poverty. Let me correct your ignorance completely. I am a blessed person who cannot be written off. This money I have is real, it’s not tissue paper. Only a few people notice it because I stay quiet,” KRG added.

He lamented that some people only start gossiping when he takes a break, assuming he is broke, but in reality, he is a blessed person whose success cannot be ignored.

“So, anytime you want to mention my name, don’t bring poverty into it. I am surprised that just because I stay quiet, you start talking nonsense, saying I’m broke. Stop linking poverty to my name and focus on your own life instead of other people’s business,” he said
