Renowned pastor and motivational speaker Robert Burale has shared some bold advice for couples navigating modern relationships.

Taking to his official social media channel on Sunday, October 5, 2025, Burale, in a candid message to both women and men, emphasised the importance of boundaries, respect, and mutual understanding in romantic partnerships.

Addressing women, Burale cautioned them against telling their partners about having a male best friend.

“Never make the mistake of telling your man that your best friend is a man, it does not work like that,” he warned.

He further warned ladies against elevating another man’s voice above that of their partner.

“Ladies, allow me to speak to you, if you ever elevate another man’s voice as an authority over your own man’s voice, I got news for you, the man may be there physically but they left a long time ago whether it is your pastor, your CEO, it does not matter your man is your man, “Burale advised.

In addition, the motivational speaker also spoke directly to men, encouraging self-awareness and fairness in relationships.

“Gentlemen, allow me to say this to you, it is criminal to notice the hairdo of your colleague or your secretary, but when your lady does one, you do not even seem to realise that, “Burale said.

He went on and urged couples to meet halfway and complement each other.

“Meet halfway, please enjoy the relationship, and complement one another,” he added.

His failed marriage

The relationship coach, in a candid interview with Alex Mwakideu, opened up about his past marriage to Rosina Mwakideu, shedding light on the reasons that led to their separation.

He described Rosina as a remarkable woman of faith, a devoted mother, and someone he continues to hold in the highest regard.

“People do not know that Alex Mwakideu is my former brother-in-law because I was married to his sister Rosina. They are a wonderful family, and we shared a great time together. Even Alex knows, but out of respect, he has never really spoken about it. Rosina was an amazing woman, a true woman of God and a loving mother,” he said.

“The reason we broke up is that sometimes two good people come together too early, and it simply does not work out. I can never say she was a bad woman, that would be a lie. I have always said, and I will repeat it here, that she is a very respectable woman. I also made mistakes in the marriage, and I take responsibility for that.”

According to him, one of the biggest mistakes they made as a couple was allowing too many external voices into their marriage.

“The biggest mistake we made as a couple was allowing too many people to interfere in our marriage,” he disclosed.
