Socialite and entrepreneur Huddah Monroe has once again stirred conversation with her latest remarks about the country.

In a post shared on her Instagram Stories on Friday, August 15, 2025, Huddah told her followers she has already made a request to God regarding her “next life.”

“Anyway, my next life, y’all know I have already asked God, if at all I am to come back as a Kenyan, I’d rather be a lioness in the Mara. Aki nikirudishwa kwa hii nchi nitashangaa sana. Anyways, leo twende wapi?” she wrote.

Her statement was laced with humour but also a hint of dissatisfaction. Huddah, known for her glamorous lifestyle and globe-trotting adventures, has previously made candid remarks about her views on Kenya and its public figures.

Not the first time she’s spoken out

This is not the first instance where the beauty mogul has expressed strong opinions about Kenya. In July this year, she revealed during an Instagram Q&A that she does not date celebrities and especially not Kenyan ones.

When a follower asked why no Kenyan celebrity had “managed to give her a child,” referencing comments from rapper Scar Mkadinali, Huddah’s answer was blunt: “I do not date celebs. Not Kenyan one, especially.”

Her preference for a more private dating life and a certain lifestyle standard has often placed her at the centre of online debates. Over the years, she has built a brand image that blends bold personality with unapologetic honesty, something her fan base has come to expect.

A life far from the ordinary

Huddah’s social media platforms showcase her luxury travels, high-end fashion choices, and business ventures, particularly in the beauty industry. She often shares her experiences from exotic destinations, offering glimpses into a lifestyle few can relate to but many follow with fascination.

Saying she’d rather come back as a lioness than a Kenyan is just the kind of thing people have come to expect from Huddah. Blunt and not afraid to ruffle feathers.

Love her or hate her, Huddah has a way of keeping people talking. Judging by her past remarks, this probably won’t be the last time she makes a statement that sends social media into a frenzy.
