Huddah Monroe reveals she does not date Kenyan celebrities

Kenyan socialite and beauty mogul Huddah Monroe has revealed that she does not date celebrities, and especially not Kenyan ones.
In a Q&A session with her fans on Instagram Stories on Sunday, July 7, 2025, Huddah was asked a cheeky question by one of her followers: “Scar once asked why KE celebs wameshindwa kumpa Huddah mimba. Any comment?” referring to why no Kenyan celebrity has managed to impregnate her.
Huddah did not hold back, noting that the Kenyan public figures are not her type.
“I do not date celebs. Not Kenyan one, especially,” she responded.
Relationship with Prezzo
Her remarks come months after she opened up about her wild teenage years and her controversial relationship with veteran rapper Prezzo.
In a series of Instagram stories shared on August 21, 2024, Huddah revealed that she once ran away from home and lived on the streets of Nairobi for two years. She spent some of that time with Prezzo.
“Adolescent life… Despite that, my rebellious ass—I was a wild child! I ran away from home for 2 years, galavanting Nairobi streets, some months with Prezzo,” she revealed.
Huddah also reflected on how her mother reacted when she realised her daughter was curious about boys. To teach her a lesson, Huddah’s mother took her to Kenyatta Hospital, where she showed her patients suffering from HIV/AIDS. The experience left her shaken.
“How mothers know you are looking at boys is also wild. My mom took me to Kenyatta Hospital to see people with HIV/AIDS. She said it’s coz of sex, and my 16-year-old self was traumatised,” Huddah said.
After the hospital visit, her mother started giving her advice on men, sex, and responsibility.
“She said, ‘You are grown now, I can no longer be there to take care of you, my daughter, go out there, conquer the world, be great & protect yourself,’” she added.
Back in 2014, Huddah shocked her fans when she claimed that Prezzo was the first man she ever slept with, even referring to him as her one true love. Despite a messy public breakup, Prezzo denied ever dating her.
Over time, however, the two seem to have mended fences. At one point, Huddah even announced that Prezzo would be attending a party she was hosting.
“Buried the hatchet… And the one love of my life. The nigga that broke my virginity (T.M.I?????????) will be coming thru to Huddah Million Party,” she wrote on social media. “El Presidente @prezzo254. We don’t turn up… we turn over.”
Huddah and Prezzo both rose to fame after their appearances on the Big Brother Africa reality show, although in different seasons. Huddah appeared in Season 8 of The Chase in 2013, but was the first housemate to be evicted. Despite her short stay, she used the platform to build a successful brand and is now one of Kenya’s top social media influencers.
Prezzo, whose real name is Jackson Ngechu Makini, was a contestant in Season 7 of Stargame in 2012. He made it to the finals and finished as the first runner-up. He became known for his controversial behaviour and romantic involvement with the late Nigerian singer Goldie.
