Ezekiel Otuoma’s widow, TikTok influencer Rachael, has firmly stated that all TikTokers visiting her home will be required to surrender their phones at the gate, citing the growing trend of guests going live and exposing private spaces without consent.

Speaking during a TikTok live on the night of Saturday, July 12, 2025, Rachael said she had taken great care to prepare her home, from buying special serving plates to deep cleaning every room, but insisted that none of that gave anyone the right to broadcast her personal life to the public.

“I will set standards. Look, guys, we have even removed all the clothes from the drawers. I will stay up all night to ensure the TikTokers find no fault here. I do not want them to find a single flaw. About fifteen TikTokers are coming over. I am doing this so that when they leave, they do not go live and start attacking me with insults,” Rachael said.

She expressed frustration at what she described as a widespread and reckless habit among TikTokers of entering people’s homes and instantly going live, often narrating things that should remain private.

She criticised those who rush to show audiences what someone’s kitchen looks like, what is hanging on the clothesline, or which part of the house someone is in, noting that such behaviour is both disrespectful and invasive.

“I do not want people saying, ‘Oh, guys, look, that is Rachael in the kitchen’ or ‘This is how her house looks’—that will not happen here,” she said, making it clear that phones will remain with the gateman for the entire duration of the visit.

Rachael revealed that she has already briefed her daytime guard and will remind him again in the morning to enforce the rule strictly.

She added that any TikToker who feels they cannot comply is free to stay at home.

“You guys, no. Phones stay with the gateman. I already called the morning security guard and told him all phones will be left there. If you cannot handle that rule, please just stay at your home. Let us not argue. I have already given the soldier the instructions. When I wake up in the morning, I will remind him again.”

Rachael, whose home is styled in white and gold, said she had even removed clothes from her drawers and tidied every corner, not because she fears criticism, but because she knows how quickly online narratives can spiral if guests find even the smallest flaw.

On the same note, Rachael also showed off a new special set of plates, which she said she would use to serve the TikTokers during their visit in a bid to impress them and prevent any of them from later badmouthing her on the video-sharing app.

“About fifteen TikTokers are coming over. So I have bought fifteen fish and also fifteen special plates for them to use. I want to treat them so well that they leave here saying ‘eeei’. Tomorrow, each one gets their own fish. I am doing this so that when they leave, they do not go live and start attacking me with insults.”

She explained that, given her status as an influencer, the visiting TikTokers would likely spend an entire week discussing her and pointing out any flaws in her home — something she was determined to avoid at all costs.

I will not sleep tonight because I want them to find nothing to talk about. If they find even one thing, I will not breathe on TikTok this week,” she said.
