Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has said he might not be entirely opposed to the idea of having a sugar mummy.
In a post shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the outspoken MP hinted at hearing stories about how well sugar mummies take care of their younger lovers.
“Roho ya kupenda wamama isiwahi nifwata, nasikianga wanajua kulinda vijana wadogo kama mimi hadi wajisahau,” he said.
Loosely translating to;
“My heart should never start fancying older women, but I hear they know how to take care of young men like me until they forget themselves.”
Salasya on a love hunt
Salasya has faced challenges in the dating scene during his long quest for a life partner.
His attempts to woo high-profile figures have often made headlines, most notably his public pursuit of Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe. Unfortunately for Salasya, Huddah did not share his feelings, and their interactions soon turned into an online spat with both exchanging barbs on social media.
Back in 2022, he openly expressed admiration for content creator Azziad Nasenya, but she respectfully declined his advances. Despite some women showing interest in him, Salasya has not accepted any of their offers.
Recently, the MP shared insights into why he remains single, explaining that he’s looking for a wife who is both occupied with her own life and willing to be submissive but hasn’t found someone who fits. He believes that many women in Nairobi are more focused on city living, while he desires a partner willing to embrace village life.
Someone even suggested that he marry a teacher or banker, believing their busy lives would minimize stress.
“The issue with finding a wife, and this is something girls need to understand; the Bible says submission is key. It’s Biblical, it’s spiritual; you should be submissive,” Salasya explained.
“It’s very hard for me to find someone because girls nowadays want to stay in Nairobi, but I want someone who can live in the village. Someone advised me to get a teacher or banker—someone busy so they won’t bring me stress.”
Won’t date virgins
The lawmaker recently revealed that he wouldn’t date a virgin.
In a post shared on his Instagram on Sunday, September 29, 2024, the outspoken lawmaker declared that he is not interested in being part of the process noting that he finds it too much of a burden.
The lawmaker who has been openly in search of his better half went on to explain that if he ever realized his partner was a virgin, he would allow her to go have another man to break her virginity and come back.
However, the lawmaker noted that the reserved village men like himself are the best suited for the job unlike men from the city who according to him are too weak to take on such a task.
“Type of a woman I would never wish to meet in my life; A virgin. When I realise she is a virgin I will allow her to go have another man to break her virginity and come back to me. I hate to labour to break a woman for another man hehe…though sisi vienyeji we are better at breaking virgins than born town who are very weak on the bed,” Salasya shared.
