Oga Obinna’s attempt to surprise woman with ex-husband’s flowers goes wrong
An attempt by media personality Oga Obinna on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, to reconcile a man named Peter with his estranged wife, Alice, spectacularly backfired after the woman vehemently rejected the flowers that Obinna was delivering on Peter’s behalf.
In a video shared on his TikTok page, Obinna, who was accompanied by a saxophonist, could be seen arriving at the woman’s workplace before initiating a warm and lively conversation with her.

He explained to her that he had been sent to surprise her but did not directly reveal who had sent him, leaving the woman tingling with anticipation.
“Hello Alice, I have been sent today. I have a small gift here for you. Here it is. I have you full of surprises,” Obinna said as he handed her the two bouquets of flowers.
On seeing them, the woman accepted them with delight and went on to proclaim that she knew Oga Obinna well and that he is truly a man full of surprises.
“You are incredible, Obinna, you are always brimming with surprises. Wow. What is the occasion that you have brought these flowers?” Alice asked, her excitement visibly mounting.
At that moment, the saxophonist Obinna had brought along began humming melodic tunes, setting the stage for what was expected to be one of the most memorable surprises of the year.
However, instead of immediately revealing the origin of the flowers, Obinna continued to heighten the suspense, teasing her by asking whether the gesture was for her birthday or perhaps for Mother’s Day.
Alice responded, clarifying that it was not her birthday but speculated that someone might have sent the flowers to appreciate her role as a mother.
She further guessed that perhaps her boss had sent them in recognition of her excellent work.
“Mother’s Day, maybe, because you know I am also a parent. Or perhaps my boss sent them because of the outstanding work I have done. Last time, I delivered quite a lot of work as well,” she said.
However, it was not long before Obinna disclosed that the flowers had been sent by Peter, her estranged husband, and her demeanour shifted instantly.
“Now, I do not know if your boss sent these flowers, but the one who sent them said we should deliver them and come sing for you, which is why I came with Jimmy the saxophonist to perform a little. The person who sent them is called Peter, and we have come to tell you sorry. He said we come and tell you sorry,” he said.
Alice, on realising which Peter Obinna was referring to, promptly returned the flowers and insisted that she did not want them, noting that it had been ten painful years since he walked out of her life.
She elaborated, stating that she could not accept an apology from Peter, as he had abandoned her when she had a baby and no employment.
“Take these flowers. So he thinks to send me these flowers after ten years. He left me without a job and a child. Now he thinks sending flowers will make amends. Are you also in the same WhatsApp group with him?” she said.
The woman then completely lost her composure and stormed out of the office, brushing aside the saxophonist’s tunes as she ordered them to leave.
Oga Obinna was left dumbfounded and stranded with the flowers, attempting to call Peter to update him on the dramatic turn of events.
