Veteran Kenyan musician Colonel Moustapha now claims his ex-girlfriend, Noti Flow, was physically abusing him.
Speaking to Milele FM’s Bangaiza Show on Tuesday, January 28, the Dodoma Singida hit-maker recounted an incident in which Noti Flow answered a call on his phone, and, a resultant fight erupted after Noti learnt that the caller was a woman.
“She bit and scratched me using her finger nails,” Moustapha told Bangaiza hosts Chris and Kartelo.
The interviewee also recounted moments when Noti Flow “kicked me without any provocation”.
The rapper said for the last three years that he was dating the controversial musician, he endured beatings and mistreatment.
“I remember there was a time I was ailing, and she couldn’t take good care of me. I feared her to the extent that I had to hide all the kitchen knives in my house when we were about to go to bed,” he said.
Asked why he endured an abusive relationship for that long, Moustapha said he was blinded by love.
In early December 2019, Colonel Moustapha came out to vehemently deny allegations that he was gay.
Noti Flow had taken to Instagram on December 3, 2019, to claim that she was shocked to learn that Moustapha was gay.
“Moustapha is gay, and he lives with his boyfriend in Utawala. I have confirmed. [He is a] fake Muslim,” said Noti Flow, who dated the Katika hit-maker between September 2017 and September 2019.
Reached for comment by K24 Digital at the time, Moustapha refuted Noti Flow’s allegations, saying she was bitter that he ditched her.
“I dated her for three years. You want to tell me that for the three years I was with her, it is only the other day she came to know I am gay?” posed Moustapha.
“Noti Flow is bitter that I left her two months ago. And, I have valid reasons as to why I ended my relationship with her. I wouldn’t want to reveal much, but I can say she started seeing a white man behind my back. My mum came to know about it, and advised me to be careful with her. It is unfortunate that she threw the religion card in her wild allegations, that is not fair at all,” said Moustapha.
To further poke holes on Noti Flow’s claims, Moustapha questioned how it was possible for him to date Chokoza star Marya, socialite Huddah Monroe, and even Noti Flow if it was indeed true that he was homosexual.
“Noti Flow’s allegations are ridiculous to say the least.”
Noti Flow’s claims echoed those made by musician Trap King Chrome, who, in the past, accused Moustapha of being gay.
Financially broke
Noti Flow further accused Moustapha of being broke, claiming she was the one funding his lifestyle despite being 15 years his junior.
In the Milele FM interview on January 28, Moustapha revealed that he ended his relationship with Huddah Monroe because she was “expensive to maintain”.
