“The truth is Manzi wa Kibera hajawai chukua title ya mzee, Manzi wa Kibera hajawai chukua pesa ya mzee. Manzi wa Kibera hajawai tumia mzee. Manzi wa Kibera na Mzee they were not dating, it was an online content, they were not dating,” Chali was Kibera said in a video shared on Manzi wa Kibera’s Instagram account.
Chali wa Kibera additionally divulged that they used to split the revenue generated from content created by Manzi wa Kibera and Mzee Nzuki’s fake relationship.
“Whatever tulikua tunapata tulikua tunasplit. So because Mzee ameenda it is only right kusema ukweli na kusema what is really going on, sijui vile mafans wataichukulia ama vile watu wataichukulia but in my heart I will be like at least I have been honest na nimewaambia it was not a real relationship. It was like an online content which most of the video mi ndo nlikua nashoot,” he said.
Mzee Nzuki’s burial
Mzee Nzuki was laid to rest on May 1, 2024, at the Lang’ata Cemetery in Nairobi.
Chali wa Kibera said that Manzi wa Kibera failed to attend the burial because Mzee Nzuki’s family did not invite them.
The manager explained that Mzee Nzuki’s family didn’t want media presence at the burial.
“This is Chali wa Kibera, Manzi wa Kibera’s manager. I just want to inform you that Mzee Nzuki was buried today at Lang’ata and there was no media presence because the family didn’t want like media. Walikua tu wanataka tu wapatie mzee a decent send off without hizo cameras,” Chali wa Kibera said.
“Me or Manzi wa Kibera nobody was invited and I totally understand because maybe walidhani tukienda tunawezaenda na watu wa media. Maybe tutafind tu time yetu kuenda kuangalia kaburi which walisema ni sawa,” he added.
Mzee Nzuki died on April 21, 2024, at 67 after a short illness.
Manzi wa Kibera officially unveiled the sexagenarian as her boyfriend during a YouTube interview in November 2022.
