Controversial musician KRG The Don has dismissed claims on social media that he was suffering in his past marriage.
In a recent update on his Instagram page, the musician shared a TbT photo, disclosing that he was married at the time and was under pressure from his wife.
The photo depicted a skinny KRG The Don rocking a black suit and wearing wedding ring.
Never under pressure
While addressing journalists after his trip to South Sudan, the musician was put on the spot over the photo forcing him to explain the story behind it.
He explained that he just shared the photo to remember his past and how far he has come from.
“Maisha ni safari na wakati unaanza huwezi jua mbele iko aje, leave one day at a time but at least panga mambo ya mbele ikue safi. So nikikumbuka kule nimetoka unakumbuka kuna shida ulikua nayo day one lakini sasa hizo shida haziwezi kupata
“Hakuna fundi wa mapenzi and everyone can be in that situation lakini siwezi sema nilikua nimekaliwa kwa sababu sijawahi kukaliwa ma mtu yeyote, it was just for that moment,” KRG The Don said.
KRG The Don ex-wife
KRG The Don claimed he divorced his ex-wife, Linah Wanjiru, because she grew idle and started moving with ‘chokoras’.
In a presser, the musician said his ex-wife’s reasoning took a downward spiral to the point he could not condone her anymore.
“There is a certain level of richness that when you reach, there are some nonsense you cease tolerating. There are certain people you no longer want to see around you,” KRG said.
KRG added that prior to their divorce, Wanjiru started moving with with low-lifes and friends who add no value in her life leading to the collapse of her business.
Baby mama demanding upkeep
KRG The Don’s baby mama sparked reactions a while back after demanding KSh 350,000 monthly spousal support saying life has taken a toll on her since their separation.
Linah Wanjiru said KRG forcefully kicked her out of their matrimonial home without prior notice, adding that it has caused her mental distress.
She demanded KSh 160,000 for house rent, KSh 50,000 for groceries, food, fruits and dry grain and KSh 25,000 for milk.
Wanjiru also demanded KSh 50,000 for clothing, KSh 30,000 for electricity, KSh 15,000 for water and finally KSh 20,000 for toiletries.
Reacting to the same, KRG told off Linah accusing her of sleeping around and going out to drink at the expense of their kids.
“I don’t know who told people you can maintain and ex-wife who has been sleeping around and leaving behind my kids so you can go out and drink with use less people
“I wish they knew how much information and evidence I have against them. They will see it in court and just collapse,” KRG said.
