Viral sensation Ngesh has broken her silence on life after fame, revealing that despite becoming a household name in 2023, she’s still struggling financially

In a raw and emotional YouTube interview, Ngesh admitted that behind her confidence and smile lies a different reality.

Mbona nikae kwa limelight na venye nimesota?” she posed.“Ata saa hii natumianga matatu. Lazima maisha iendelee.”

Translating to “Why should I stay in the limelight while I’m broke? Even now, I still use matatus. Life must go on.”

Broke and hopeful

Ngesh said that people often expect her to live a glamorous lifestyle because of her fame, but that’s far from her truth. She added that she forces herself to appear okay even when things are tough

“I’m going to need to come and show them that I’m okay,” she said. “But deep down, I’m suffering.”

Despite her struggles, she remains optimistic and encourages others going through hard times.

“Let me go through it. Your turn will come,” she said.

“I can’t listen to people.”

Little fortune

Ngesh is part of Spider Clan, a group of young artists from Naivasha who gained national attention after releasing their viral hit Kaveve Kazoze in May 2023.

The song, known for its street vibe and catchy lyrics, catapulted them to stardom nearly overnight.

But since then, the group has struggled to maintain the momentum. While their popularity remains, consistent financial or industry support has not followed.

New releases haven’t matched the success of their breakout hit, leaving fans wondering what happened.

Streets to national fame

Ngesh and her fellow Spider Clan members grew up together in Naivasha. Their rise to fame was unplanned — ‘Kaveve Kazoze’ was uploaded casually but quickly exploded on social media, especially TikTok.

Ngesh’s unique flow and raw lyrics captured the attention of the nation.

Despite the current challenges, Ngesh says she’s not giving up.

“Even when I go through hard times, I smile. It’s okay. Let me go through it,” she said.

As her story continues to unfold, many fans are rooting for her comeback, and hoping that the next big break won’t just bring fame, but stability too.
