Outgoing Starehe MP Charles Njagua alias ‘Jaguar’ is making a musical comeback after five-year hiatus following his venture into politics.
Jaguar released a new collabo featuring Ugandan singer Ambassada.
The song dubbed Nitume is a gospel rendition, and very different from his genre. He says the song is intended to preach peace and love.
Nitume has since amassed over 3.5K views on YouTube with the number steadily going up.
This follows his defeat in the Starehe United Democratic Alliance (UDA) primaries where he failed to secure the party ticket which was instead awarded to Simon Mbugua.
“The people of Starehe were denied their democratic right to go to the ballot again for the nominations and choose their leader. The party decided to carry out opinion polls to decide whom to award the nomination certificate and it has been done,” Jaguar lamented after being denied the party ticket.
However, Mbugua did not clinch the seat. Jubilee’s Amos Mwago floored his after garnering 50,777 votes against his 35,548 votes.
Jaguar was however part of the deputy president’s presidential campaigns and couldn’t be happier after William Ruto was declared president-elect yesterday by IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati at the Bomas of Kenya.
While offering his congratulations to Ruto, Jaguar said that his victory was a result of hard work.
“Your Excellency, you have taught me that hard work pays. We traversed the whole country seeking votes from Kenyans and today we have emerged winners. Congratulations on becoming the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya,” Jaguar tweeted.
