Inside Zippy Okoth’s fairytale love story with Webston Kimani
Celebrated film producer and lecturer Zippy Okoth has opened up about her blossoming relationship with her partner, travel vlogger Webston Kimani, describing it as a love story that has broken barriers and given her a new outlook on life.
Speaking about their bond with Oduor Jagero in an interview aired on Friday, August 22, 2025, on his YouTube channel, Zippy said the relationship has defied odds and stereotypes.
“This relationship has broken a lot of barriers, ethic barriers, age barriers, we have broken every barrier,” Zippy said.
Why she fell in love
For the award-winning film producer, what drew her most to Kimani was his authenticity, she says the YouTuber does not fake his life or personality.
“I like how open he is with himself, he is not faking anything. Kim is not faking anything, he is not faking his life, he is not faking what he is or what he is not, he gives himself as he is, and I think I have fallen in love with that,” she said.

She added that Kimani has helped her overcome some of her personal fears, including the fear of heights and travelling.
“He has enabled me to face some of my fears, fear of heights, travelling and adventuring in the world, he leads me into paths,” Zippy added.
“I allow myself to be led by him because he is gentle and kind. The other reason why I love my man is that he plans.”
Age difference
Just like Kimani, Zippy is also unbothered by their 10-year age gap, saying age has never been a factor despite attracting attention from netizens.
“The age difference is ten years only, but he is wiser than many older men in their forties he can hold and keep a serious conversation. Age was never a thing,” she disclosed.

The magic post
Interestingly, Zippy and Kimani’s love story began on Facebook, but what started as lighthearted banter turned into something serious.
She says the Facebook post about her experience on a motorbike and how she wishes to have a boyfriend who rides a bike was a joke, however, Kimani’s comment on the post sparked a conversation that later blossomed into their relationship.
“It was a joke, as I was writing that post, I was just writing a story, and to me, it did not mean anything and two days later, everybody was tagging me,” she stated.
“Even when I was responding, I was like, write, am going to write, and we are never going to meet, and this story will die in my head. I never thought we would meet.”
Zippy and Kimani’s romance is nothing short of a fairytale love story.
